With the decade almost over, who would you choose for your All-NBA 2000's team? List your 2nd and 3rd teams if you want.
All-Decade First Team
C - Shaq: No argument really. 4 time champ, MVP. Has to be a lock, despite his last few years being average.
PF - Duncan: Again, no argument. Won 3 rings in the decade and 2 MVPs.
SF - Lebron: This is the toughest spot for me. Lebron hasn't won anything so I'm hesitant to put him here, but I just can't put T-Mac/Pierce above him.
SG - Kobe: No argument. 4 rings, an MVP, best scorer over the decade.
PG - Nash: Kidd is tough to miss out, but the 2 MVPs and multiple 60-win seasons put Nash over the edge. And he plays in the west.
All-Decade Second Team
C - Ben Wallace: May be a controversial pick, but he won 4 DPOYs and a ring. Yao is not decorated enough, Dwight too young.
PF - Kevin Garnett: No real contest for the #2 PF of the last decade. A ring and a DPOY award.
SF - Paul Pierce: The ring in '08 seals it for the Truth imo. Was also huge earlier in the decade before the Celtics sucked.
SG - Allen Iverson: Was close to putting Ray Allen here, but AI lead his own team for a long time, and won multiple scoring titles. Barring last season with Detroit, he has to be the 2nd best SG of the decade.
PG - Jason Kidd: Should have been the MVP in '02, was hands-down the best PG from 2000-2004.
All-Decade Second Team
C - Yao: I'm tipping a lot of people would put him in their 2nd team.
PF - Dirk: Has been great for 10 years now.
SF - T-Mac: If not for injuries then he would be in one of the above two teams. Was insane from 2000-2003.
SG - Ray Allen: And still going strong.
PG - Parker: Most decorated PG of the last 10 years.
I've probably missed someone worthy... thats off the top of my head.
