How good is Manu when he actually get upwards of 35 minutes a game?

Hes currently 44/3/7 with 8 treys and 3 steals.

His last 3 games:

34/15/6 with 6 treys and 2 steals.

21/4/4 with 5 treys and 2 steals.

20/7/9 with 5 steals.

The arugment is quite interesting but at the moment it is absolutely useless. Spurs won't finish 6th. I'd really love for someone to put this up as a new thread come the start of the playoffs as it would make an great thread.

BTW if the Magic had to play Denver in a 7 game series we'd win. Cleveland would beat Utah IMO. depending on who finishes where will really alter that equation.

Of course if the best team in the NBA was in the East and sitting in 6th spot it would change things.

Agreed. Last 3 encounters:

WAS 102 - DAL 84

WAS 110 - DAL 98

WAS 106 - DAL 97

Yep, and Phoenix has lost to the T'Wolves twice this season as well. Doesn't mean they wouldn't sweep the series.

Regular season results between two teams are pretty much irrelevant.

Triple double for Odom with 10/15/10.

Geez the new Lakers line up is really working well at the moment. Might just get even better when Bynum returns!?

I can only hope.

Smashed the T'Wolves and have finished our East Coast 9 game road trip 7-2.

Happy with that result.

Bynum 4 weeks away now Im thinking. :thumbsu:

Sac Town on a 26-7 run in the last quarter, and now lead Houston by 1 with 24.1 seconds to go.

Leon Powe = the boy can play ... 18 pts, 8 boards ...

Another impressive game, even against a rabble ...

Hmm surely Doc has to give him more mins when KG gets back, seems like he's been wasted on the pine.

I think now surely Boston has proved we have a fairly good, if not deep bench, then at least a solid one that contributes, esp when our stars have been missing.

I'm very impressed with Ainge's uncanny ability to draft and/or for trade talent late or in the 2nd round of the draft -IE Rajon Rondo, Big Baby, Leon Powe etc ... Those are the sort of signings that can make or break a GM ...

I havent seen alot of Boston's games lately so apologies if this is a ridiculous suggestion but why cant he be in with Garnett and reduce Scalabrine's minutes (If you can any more), bring Posey back a few minutes, and then simply play him when Garnett is off. Hopefully that would give him 15-25 minutes a match depending on circumstances.

That said its a scratchy idea and my knowledge of how Doc coaches (does anyone really know?) isnt fantastic.

Hmm, well I think as a centre, he does a better job then Perkins and Scal (even if he is an inch or two shorter then a usual centre) so I would prefer to start him there now, but traditionally Doc Rivers generally doesn't like to play rookies generally (even going back to when he was at Orlando)
I would start Powe, and leave Perkins on the bench along with Big Baby as back-ups ...
He is very good and impressive at the defensive end as well, which has been crucial in KG's absence ...

Shit. Forgot all about Kendrick. :D There's someone else to slot in.

It does get tight. Looking at it that way shows how hard it is for Big Baby to get minutes.

Perkins boxes out better than Powe and is a better defensive fit for the team, Powe is best suited to being a spark off the bench when KG sits.

He doesn't have the blocking abilities Perkins has but crashes the boards hard and with lots of energy and has a far superior low post game to Perkins as well as better hands but he is only 6-8 so he can't guard super big C and expect to get away with being that undersiized regularly.

He's best used when Doc plays a small ball line up for the second unit.

I'm glad he's doing the job now though since he's had the chance to start and get more minutes.

I feel justified in my going off at Doc earlier for not giving him more game time.

The thing is with Powe is the only reason he slipped so in the draft was because he had 2 knee recos while in college so he was downgraded in drafts because of this.

And perhaps this is one reason why the staff dont push him too much minutes wise(even if the fans are calling for it) in order to look after his body.

That's ok.

I never thought i'd see someone foolish enough to underate teams lead by James, Howard or Bosh.

WTF has Bosh done?

I would under-rate his team every day of the week.its full of too many weak out-side shooters and Bosh despite putting up decent numbers is as weak as piss in the paint.

Toronto are too hot and cold to be a factor in the play-offs

Phoenix vs Dallas over 206.5 is paying $2.00 on TAB. Good value in my opinion. The same line on Sportingbet and it is at $1.85
