errrrrr. ok.

suns will be real good when shaq gets more run and games under his belt, mark my words!!

i saw most of the suns/lakers game today...shaq seemed to get better as the game went on, if he stays healthy it could turn out good for the suns

Were we watching the same game?

Things that came out of this game:
- Shaq can't guard Gasol.
- Amare can't guard Gasol
- Marion is no longer there to take Odom, so now no-one can guard Odom.

Also, consider that Amare had a monster night, Nash and Hill both shot very well, and Suns still fell short.

yes we were. shaq showed some signs today. nash can throw him the ball for alley oops in the half court easily. also when shaq gets the ball and starts backing down i start to get a bit worried. hes got the skills, and commands attention.

we just got the suns measure this year.

LOL!

idiot

Dude you are the one using "LOL", I think you have the idiot stakes wrapped up.

As for Pierce vs Melo, PP has a far better all round game than Melo.

PP plays multiple positions and plays them well, Melo plays one.

PP is a superior 3 point shooter, superior passer, blocks more shots.

PP was able to score and rebound as well as Melo until he stepped back to play a different role in the new set up.

So do tell exactly why Melo is better than Pierce?

It took big minutes from the Nuggets starters to get over the top of Boston's bench.

KG and KP hardly played.

One thing this game did convince me of though.

LeBron >>>>>>>> Melo

Nene didn't play
Chucky Atkins didn't play
George Karl was coaching
Anthony Carter who is probably the worst player in the league and would get cut in other teams lit them up.

Kenyon Martin was a game time decision and played, and wrecked KG's crappy D

Linas Kleiza injured his ankle and didn't come back til the 4th quarter and nailed 3 treys on Pierce.

Camby hit a clutch 3, and Carmelo was called for a goal-tending for catching Ray Allen's airball.

Nice try though.

Remember who was defending him though. Shaq should be destroying Gasol, not just looking ok. And LA didn't even send a double team most of the time. Against Duncan/Thomas or Chandler he won't look nearly as good.

Geez this form slump of the Mavs is really starting to worry me, not only are we losing ground on the leaders but suddenly we are only about 2 games inside the playoff positions. We should still make the playoffs no worrys but at the moment we don't look like contending with the Lakers/Spurs/Suns/Hornets, I no today was just our first game after the trade so there is still plenty of time and room for improvment so hopefully we can make a good run into the playoffs and peak at the right end of the season.

but shaq frees up amare. he is still a presence irrespective

Amare had a great game - he was clearly amped. But a lot of it came in transition and off offensive rebounds. The Nash/Amare pick-and-roll wasn't as effective as usual.

The one thing they did very well this game was rebound - but I'm very skeptical that will continue.

Huh?

KG was hardly on the court and starting C Perkins even less so, what game were you watching?

Unless you mean Leon Powe and James Posey?

Camby should have had 30 rebounds, he was agaisnt a 2nd year 6-8 player who held his own.

Boston went small ball and still only just lost to a bigger more experienced line up.
