Titans v Tigers
Wildcats v Razorbacks
Sixers v Hawks
Thankyou Canberra.
Their unlikely win over West Sydney enabled the Sixers to sneak into 3rd spot, while the Hawks win over the Tigers produced 2 mouth watering matchups, specifically the Melbourne derby and the rematch of last years' semis, Adelaide v Wollongong.
My tips
Titans in 3 games- should be really close, and Melbourne have a great chance, but I favour the Titans to pull through
Perth in 2 games- Despite the hiccup against Townsville, travelling smoothly and should account for West Sydney (the only danger being an away loss in the first game where the Razorbacks have only lost 2 games I think)
Hawks in 3 games- Though the Hawks have suffered through a long losing streak (coincidentally, right after Grant Kruger said the only team that could beat the Hawks, was themselves
) I think their good victory over the Tigers will give them enough confidence to win game one in Woll. and from there it's going to be tough for the Sixers to win 2 at the Powerhouse. Obviously I hope things are different, and after last year when the refs helped the Hawks beat us, I reckon the boys will be eager for revenge......this time, it's PERSONAL.
With the even nature of the competition this year, I think the race for the title is wide open. Probably 5 of the 6 teams have a realistic shot at taking it out. Should be great to watch as well, both at the games and on tv...... and with the Kings' absence from the playoffs, Fox will actually be forced to show something other than Sydney games for once this year....
