Plenty of whispers right now regarding the Reverend. Not really sure if they're conjecture or opinion, but a couple of journo's - including Robbo on 360 - have thrown up Neale's name as a potential Neeld successor.
Just reading over on Demonland, a fair few suggestions have been thrown up about getting him over here as the head of our football department.
I just want to share a couple of quotes that clearly indicate why he was a better coach and character than Neeld and Bailey.
Keep in mind that he took over after a 16th placed finish.
Demons Pick Daniher
Upon entering the club, Daniher was already talking positively about progress and knew that football supporters wanted a quick rise. He got it, too.
Hardly the cream of the crop around him, with Schwab, Corcoran, Cameron and Hutchinson amongst his support staff. Not to mention Diamond Joe being our President, with the fines set to happen in 1999.
How would you feel about a return?

He predicted that it would take a few years to turn Melbourne around and that supporters were entitled to demand real signs of progress from the start.
But as the Bulldogs and St Kilda have demonstrated, there is genuine cause for optimism.
"The Western Bulldogs are a terrific role model," he said. "Ten players came off their list, 10 players came on, there was also a new coach and a new vision and they've shown the football world what can be done. If you make the right decisions, you can turn it around in two or three years."
But he was less forthcoming when the age-old chestnut of how many games Melbourne would win next year was raised. "That's the question that always comes up, but sorry, you won't nail me on that one. What our supporters want to see is progress, and that we're making our list stronger and playing a good brand of football. They want to see progress being made and that's what we're looking for. Like every club, we'd love to make the eight. But we've got a lot of work ahead of us to do that and it might take a number of years. But everyone will be working to make the Melbourne Football Club more competitive."
