The way he moves through traffic, takes a tackle, draws a second tackler before giving it off to the player he’s created space for is very Cripps esque.

A few of his kicks forward to dangerous space were perfectly placed and resulted in goals.

Seems to have gained a yard of pace too.

In the twos he’d pretty regularly kick a goal or two to go with his 30 possies. He translates that to AFL level then look out…

Yup, I never realised he could move that fast. Very impressive.

He has/had clear deficiencies in his game, hence the Hawks rejection and his shaky start here, but looking at him this year he’s addressed that to play around them. Who knew having some good experience at the club would be helpful for young players development?

almost every kick looks like a scrappy one but more hit the target than you'd think.
just checked his stats, 69% disp efficiency and 7 turnovers. once he sharpens them up, the sky's the limit

He was so good. What a find.

I loved seeing him take on the tacklers around stoppage to create space, my only criticism is that he could look to use that to release others (particularly Nick), rather than just banging it on the boot. But that will come with experience. Massive performance and he makes our midfield look so much better.
