Wonder who that player Fly specifically praised in the press conference was then. He seems to think it was HoustonI look forward to seeing him added to the team. When’s that suspension from Port end?
He's a much better player than Sier. The Dump Truck as moved into the AFL top 10 for pressure acts.
Interesting to compare him against a similar mid-field bull in Brayden Sier, whom many of us had high hopes.
He’s been one that has come out of nowhere on pre-season crystal balling to deliver a significant impact to our ascendancy in 2025. May Neds’ ascendancy continue.

When? It was the reporter that wanted to talk about Ned's narrative, Fly didn't single out Ned at all in the post match press conference, he just answered the question like he should about all his players. So why did the coach single Ned out for special praise after the game?

Pfft, what would he know?According to Josh Daicos, Collingwood’s midfield is better with Long in it.
according to anyone with an active brain cell, our midfield is better with Long in it.According to Josh Daicos, Collingwood’s midfield is better with Long in it.
He's a much better player than Sier.
This is the difference. Long is a nerd, Sier is a cool bodybuilder with tatsWow, discussing Sier and Phil In on Ned Long's post. I think Ned has about 50 times greater IQ than Sier for starters.
According to me too. If anyone cares lolAccording to Josh Daicos, Collingwood’s midfield is better with Long in it.
Sier was the most overrated player I can remember. It was just BF that thought he was going to be special. Not even in the same class as long. He was a big boy who was nothing special. I didn't bring up the comparison, I was just responding to someone else. He’s certainly more committed to afl than Sier, but Sier has him covered for skill thus far. Not sure why we need to run down one player to pump the tires of another.
Off the back of his 2018 finals series, he looked like he was going to be the absolute business.Sier was the most overrated player I can remember. This is rewriting history a bit Manic. In 2018 Sier averaged 20 touches (over 50% contested), 5 tackles and 4 clearances a game, in 64% TOG. His clearance and contest work in tight was crucial to our finals run.Sier was the most overrated player I can remember. It was just BF that thought he was going to be special. Sier lacked desire. What's nuts is that I was having the Sier vs Long discussion with my son last night - never even thought of it before and here it is on BF the next day
FWIW I think Sier has Ned for natural talent (unrealised bar a short spurt) but would take Ned in my team any day of the week based on his current output and a clear desire to get the best out of himself. I imagine he's a ripper to have around the group.

His TOG in 2018 is almost identical to Long's, funnily enough.
I may have gone overboard but to my eye, Long offers much more. Sier was lazy and unreliable. He didn't have the same presence as long. I could be biased thoughThis is rewriting history a bit Manic. I may have posted in frustration. He was frustrating to watch and didn't want to work hard.Off the back of his 2018 finals series, he looked like he was going to be the absolute business.
Long’s TOG is skewed because of his sub appearances though. This is rewriting history a bit Manic. In 2018 Sier averaged 20 touches (over 50% contested), 5 tackles and 4 clearances a game, in 64% TOG. His clearance and contest work in tight was crucial to our finals run.
