Went back to his worst habits that had people initially hesitant. Blindly handballing it forward, hack kicks time and again, and taking extra steps with ball in hand to just get caught. Needs to turn it around after a quiet fortnight

This was his worst game but he has been quite for over a month to be fair. In his last 5 matches only against West Coast has he had more than 1 clearance for the game which is pretty ordinary given how much time he is spending in the middle. Certainty has dropped off from the form he was in early in the year, just covered up by the fact weve been winning.

There does seem to be a bit of correlation. I think if Josh goes more into the middle (which I hope he does) then one of them will face a squeeze

Neither of them had great games, but having both in is a step back in midfield speed, especially with Pendles and Sidey.

I think he was fading before the Mitch comeback, but could be wrong.

I agree with this. Long was on a slight decline, but performing well enough. Today was a flag that against the good sides we can only carry 1.

Has been average for weeks and tonight was very poor. Not. Onvincrd at the moment he’s bringing much to the table at all. Both his missed set shot and McStay’s in the end cost us the points. He has below average skills, he’s no longer winning clearance, and he’s not getting much of the ball. So at the moment he’s a liability.

It’s what made Josh such a breath of fresh air, especially with playing Nick all over the ground. His line breaking was something we lacked early

The big test was going to be how he played in his second game back. For me he played average, which is what I expected. His game time will depend on injuries. He'll continue to be picked while we need him

Going by what fly indicated. It would be an ace up the sleeve, and can put him there if needed. Doesn't feel any more than that atm They still prefer him off half back
