A song just popped into my head that i wanted to hear again, problem is i cant remember who its by or the name. Now i don't have much to go on as i can't remember it very well.

I think its from the 60's, im pretty sure its just guitar and vocals. The guys voice is kind of wavering and has an english accent. Also i think the film clip is black and white.

I also think it has a descending chord progression either before or after the chorus.

Like i said, not much to go on but hopefully someone will have an idea.

I am going to have a stab in the dark and say "Something In The Air by Thunderclap Newman"

Not either of those.

Thinking about it now im pretty sure that the Artist is just a guys name.

I was going to say "Sunny Afternoon" by the Kinks as it meets the description pretty well - doesn't fit the single name aspect though.

Yeah, it is catchy. Pretty sure I have heard it in a couple of movies.

Edit: Was in one short film, but has been covered a few times.

Was number one in the UK for four weeks back in 1969. Sang about a girl he fell in love with in 1965, who died in a fire.

My mum called it that hole in the head song because he said "I want to look inside your head, yes I do".

He also had a hit with Frozen Orange Juice.
