Got to say it's actually been a very good day for the club.
Good will generated from this morning's sausage sizzle, Warnock's re-signing, and the pleasantly surprising inclusions to the team.
Also love the fact that McInnes and Watson play again and get a bit more continuity. I also expect Jeffy to kick at least 4 goals tomorrow night.

Duigan is running back into good form - takes older recruits longer to come back from injury - they dont have the base level of fitness that kids get in the system for five years.
Not all hitherto out of form older recruits without a good fitness base that kick goals after being switched from the HBF to CHF in season defining games and remind people of Andy Mckay is spuds.

For someone who is sometimes described as a dis-passionate, professional footballer, CJudd almost literally seems to play on his own out there. I cannot believe that sometimes his trade to us is questioned. I can't even begin to imagine where we might be without him.

Judd had a cracker tonight. .. Collins showed a few things. .. Great to see Murphy returning well. .. Carrots just does his job week in week out. .. and Betts, Robbo and Hendo put in obvious effort even if not rewarded. ..

Judd got us to within 3 goals half way through quarter. Huge game from him - apart from his brain fade in lifting an arm the wrong way ...
Collins is a cool head under pressure with pace and courage as well and he covers a lot of ground.
Yarran is back to form.
Joseph was playing eh best game I have seen him play this year - till he got injured.
Robbo was great - playing injured.
Henderson was best defender and best forward..

Luck is not smiling at us this year- I blame Qatar!!

Judd's performance was jaw-dropping! Some youngsters looking like they will hold their place in the side as well. If ever we needed this thread, it's now.
Collins really does look like Houla, doesn't he? It's that weaving run and good kicking, he will be a player.

Hope he takes confidence from tonights hit out despite the result. ..

I also think he's harder at it than Hoops.
Collins is someone who is providing some form of excitement from this season.

Yeah, Collins was surprisingly good in close traffic, and not afraid to take a hit.
McInnes was hard at it as well, soundly beaten on a couple of occasions, but fought well out of his weight grade tonight. He certainly didn't look out of place though.
Lucas did a couple of good things, have no idea on his stats though. Watson battled manfully again, and Garlett hopefully gets some confidence out of that last goal.
Fantastic to see Murph back as well, that was probably the highlight for me on an otherwise dark night.

Said when we picked him up that he would be worth the wait as a direct replacement for Hoops. A harder version of hoops with all the silky skills.

last year Collins had a shocker when he went for a left hand handpass and tonight he did the same with a left kick that he took on the right instead. I have not seen his ants work. Is he not confident on both sides?

Never picked it before but HELL YES HE DOES. The kid has a fair bit of polish. I say leave him in for the rest of the year to get some games into him before next year.

Seriously guys, Collins can play.

Keep playing him and I reckon we will soon find we will be more than happy with him being the compensation for Grigg. The boy has heart, courage and seems to know how to find the ball. To me he's like a quicker, taller Houlihan.

He's 187cm so not much shorter than Judd and looks like he's going to fill out to be quite a solidly built footballer. So in summery, tall, pacey, skillful and courage. Add a bit of extra skill polish and what's not to like?

I am thinking of converting to this positive religion to stay out of trouble (recommended to me by 40yo) so I do not want to see any negative blasphemers in here Guns

was not being negative but a question from one who is unlucky enough not to get to see the ants like you guys

Credit to most of the Carlton posters here that are capable of keeping their heads in tough times, and not just looking to snipe at the first head that pops up. :thumbsu:
Oh what would you know. ;)
Seriously though, GCS winning is a big positive.
