I assume you are talking about one of two things:
1. Coaching moves
2. Whether his job could be on the line
Therefore:
1. Some interesting moves. Playing Tippet more in the ruck than I thought he would. Also moved Bock to CHF at one point which was really surprising. And dont like how Danger started the game in the forwardline. He was a terrific ball winner and NEEDS to start in the middle at the start of games.
2. Its round 1, tough preseason, still missing a number of key players. He is safe, and so he should be. Where are you going to find another coach like him? They dont grow on trees. He will get the best out of this group. Remember, we started 2-5 (or 2-7 I forget) last year. The touch will come back, players will come back, we'll find our groove and talk of Craig being sacked will be out the window. The only talk about Craig being in trouble will be by Rucci who'll have nothing to talk about so he'll start speculating (like they've done with ablett going to GC). Im certain he will be safe this year.
Don't blame the coach. Blame the players.

Let me start by saying that I agree with you on Craig being safe this year.
However our coaching panel which Craig heads up failed on all of their stated objectives prior to the start of the season.
1. Devise a game plan to stop the opposition when they get a run on FAIL.
2. Improve the transition of the ball into our forward lines FAIL
3. Improve our share of clearances FAIL
4. Improve our usage of the ball from clearances FAIL
When our zone starts to strangle Collingwood, Malthouse abandons his gameplan and goes man to man which dismantles the zone, with Collingwood usually getting up to win after giving us a 5 to 6 goal start.
We just kept zoning fresh air while Freo players ran unchecked all over the ground.
Talking about clearances earlier, our centre bounce set-ups were a disgrace. Freo took the ball out alnost at will.
Dangerfield also was used far too sparingly at the centre bounces. He'd be at every one if I were the coach.
While Freo played with terrific intensity and desire, IMO Craig and crew had a very poor night in the coaching box.
It's only 1 game, but just as much as our players have to improve tremendously so does our coaching panel.
Poor game by all tonight.

craig has had this team all over summer yet nothing has improved since Crows last afl game, if anything there is even less desire to win
trust me we must pereseverve with our zoning , it acheives nothing with teams playing like freo did, but hey im just a sports administrator really what would i know
get back to the sports institute craig where you might actually be useful
sihTEmbarrassing stuff mate. Sure, the game was awful but this post is worse.

Craig is 100 percent safe this year, but in my opinion this year will make or break him as coach. A bad year this year will mean that he will literally have to pull a rabbit out of the hat in 2011 to still be there in 2012.
I am not going to harp on too much because I said enough during the preseason about my opinion of going into 2010 with 5 players over 30. I am concerned though hearing Craig trying to pin our potential success this year on the improvement of 3 players who are turning 34 this year especially after what we saw last night.
Interesting times ahead.
