A cafe at Thebarton would be profitable you'd think
There are hordes of locals having picnics, walking dogs, exercising, playing sports etc every minute of the day down there

It's a non-stop full house
That Emma Dawes has gone very quiet.

Probably moved on to trying to solve the issues in the Middle East.

Olsen said on radio yesterday that we are ahead of schedule and could be in by October before next AFLW season.

The AFLW season starts in August, but it looks like we might be in a position where we can either play half our home games at Unley then the other half at Thebarton, or back end our home games so the bulk are played in October.

Either way, hopefully this will mean we never play an AFLW match at Norwood again, which is pretty much a universally unpopular venue for AFLW matches

Rather Norwood than Unley.

rather Norwood than any SANFL ground. Im biased though. Used to go there with my brother, dad and grandfather in the 80's to watch Aish and Macca.
Norwood oval is love/hate

If you're a Norwood member and get to sit in the Western stand - you'll love it. Right ontop of the oval, great views.
But if you're anyone else, you hate it.
The Southern stand is the 2nd worst in the league, only better than Prospect's members stand
The outer is the worst in the league with it being narrow, claustrophobic, fills up almost instantly and you're forced into bad areas
The field (particularly goal areas) are land mines with uneven surfaces that I'd argue is more unsafe than the western wall

I remember in the 2010's when the baseball was at Norwood you'd have patches of dirt inside the southern end 50 which were the base areas for the baseball (I believe it was worse in the 90's when the ABL Mk 1 was played at Norwood)

i remember fielding ground balls back in the 90's it was a minefield, the ground was so uneven
