It's the 512 MB DDR RAM that impresses me. Nice.

How much did it cost?

new computers are great Enjoy! :)

I got a new laptop 2 weeks ago, and loving it! a brand new 12" PowerBook G4 (OS X is pretty much the most elegant operating system I've ever used, and I've used plenty of them!). Going to upgrade my PC desktop in a few months as well - it's hard work being a nerd ;)

Probably install a dual-boot WinXP/Linux thing on it. I'm such an OS-**** :D

Cost me $1999. Thought it was the best deal going around that I could find. :) It was originally supposed to be 256MB DDR RAM, but cas it was a special they doubled it. :D Don't really understand what the "DDR" bit is though......

Get the Green Guide next time you buy a computer. You'll find similar computers of that performance, but at a much cheaper price.

How cheap? That's the best deal in Perth at the moment.....

Well, how much would you normally pay in Melbournre for the following package?? I thought most things in Perth were normally cheaper than Melboure......

Genuine Intel Pentium IV 2.66 Ghz CPU
•512Mb DDR RAM
•60Gb 7200 RPM Hard Disk Drive
•1.44Mb Floppy Disk Drive
•48x48x16x CD-Rewriter Drive
•16x DVD Drive
•64Mb Geforce2 MX400 Graphics Adaptor TV OUT
•17” Digital Monitor
•Windows Keyboard
•Scroll Mouse & Mouse Pad
•Midi Tower ATX Case
•Internal 56k Modem
•Stereo Sound
•800Watt Sub Woofer Speaker System
•2 Years Parts & 5 Years Labour Warranty
•Microsoft Windows XP Home
(Installed & Supplied)
•1 Month FREE Internet
•Cd Burning Software

Ive seen the same system with a DVD burner for under $2,000.
That's in Adelaide though, not sure of the price differences around the nation.
Definately worth shopping around though.
