OK, we all know the Adelaide home crowd can be a bit light in its vocal support sometimes (and I can say that because I'm one of 'em) and the old "Adder-layd clap-clap-clap" is just getting tired (well, it always was tired).

So, we need some new chants/songs and some new noise. Something to match the "Nigel, Nigel" of the Bulldogs game - first time I've heard an original noise from the crowd in years.

I know there are some creative minds here, and I'm sure many of you are regulars at the games - so, can we get something going? Ideas?

How's about the southern end of the ground chant "Wall-ace, Wall-ace", while the northern end respond with "Ea-de Ea-de"?

Mr Rucci can then write that the chant is revealing.

I stand with the cheer squad at Centrals games... so how about this?

OH ADELAIDE... IS WONDERFULLLLLLLL
Oh Adelaide is wonderfullllll
We love our beer, t**s and football...
Oh Adelaide is wonderful!

Leader: OH ADELAIDE!
All: OH ADELAIDE!
Leader: IS WONDERFUL!
All:IS WONDERFUL!
Everyone: Oh Adelaide is wonderfullllll
We love our beer, t**s and football...
Oh Adelaide is wonderful!

I know that you can't be crude at AFL games so feel free to replace the word with the asterisks with something else. ;)

If only the Adelaide bunch were like us or The Stand.

After the embarrassment that was Round 17, I wonder how many will actually show up.

I'm tipping about 33, 000.

As for the cheer squad, try sitting in the bloody Members. Last home game I was spoken to by a Red Coat for being too loud. What the hell is that?!

borrowing from the premier league put heres one maybe

{a bit much}

in the Port Adelaide swamps,
in the Port Adelaide Swamps,
your looking for something nice eat,
find a dead rat and think its a treat,
in the Port Adeliade Swamps.

Ya mum is a tramp and yer dads in the clink
And ya cant get a job
CAUSE YOUR JUST TOO DAMN THICK!

I have heard a variant at Adelaide United games. Just finishing it off. :D

Seeing that it is Heritage week, why not drag out the old "Here we go, Here we go, Camry Crows"?? LOL (Makes me cringe thinking about it)

You know, that's not too bad an idea...

Yeah, our section is OLLLLLLDDDDDDD! And annoying. We have the bag, the ***, AND the hag. I don't know why they're called that, I guess 'cos the rhyme? Oh, and there's a sag now!

why not take a leaf out of english soccers book, with something like the liverpool song - you will never walk alone, the rugby does it with waltzing matilda, it would take a while to catch on but maybe worth a try.

I think Adelaide needs those thunder sticks to also generate more noise. I have been going every year since they have been in, many have tried to get the crowd to cheer the reality is though that Adelaide supporters are just very reserved and I dont think that is going to change. I must admit that I also too dont cheer half the time :/

Yep. I'm not a soccer fan but when I see a Liverpool match I envy the atmosphere when they sing that song. I would also like to hear the crowd sing the chorus to Craig before the end of the year.

walk on
walk on

i reckon after the Rnd 22 Showdown, the crowd should sing...

"Are we ever gonna see your face again (No way, get ****ed, **** off!)" to Neil Craig as he walks off the oval! :p

...and to about 8-10 of the players as well!

do u reckon it would catch on??? :p

Uh, no. No way are we getting thesame things the Port maggots got. I'm happy just cheering my lungs out and not being able to speak for thenext three days!
And I got my clappers...

Speaking of Liverpool - I read some years ago that at their home ground (Anfield) there was a sign over the visiting team's race that simply said "YOU ARE AT ANFIELD". It was the last thing they saw before walking on to the pitch.... That's how we need Footy park to be.

Harsh but it seems to be fair at the moment Tyson!

Thats a great idea about the anfield idea but would AAMI stadium have the same ring to it?
The way the crows have been playing at home though might just calm the oppositions nerves.

Bring back the Footy Park name, we played better there!

I agree that "YOU ARE AT AAMI" just doesn't have that ring to it! :)

It's more to do with the crowd - we need to get our act together and make it more fearsome for the opposition. Every other team knows they can shut us up with a couple of goals and that ain;t good enough.

Club needs to change coach, assistant coaches, some players, some board members - and the crowd needs to do its bit too. :)

I don't really have an issue with Craig being a temporary senior coach (& giving him full support), but a permananent one is another issue alltogether!

How about "WRONG WAY GO BACK"

Definitely need some more R&R especially at breaks in play. Listening to that bozo tralk to people and 'inform' us is just a waste of time.

A DJ who can select the tunes to inspire and keep the crowd momentum going even after the opposition scores a goal would hopefully stop the groan factor.

Playing the intro to Thunderstruck as a lead-up before the first bounce would be awesome.
