Old Dark Navy Blue wrote in one of the pre-game discussions for the final I think. I wasn't a fan of Crowbot name but when I saw his description of it, I saw it as an absolute positive.

They can have all Brisbane born AFL players sons born between 18 January 1976 and 2 February 1976 and they had to have played 40 games in that time.

I think GC and WS will get more than enough compensation as it is.

No doubt by the time Mods son is old enough to be drafted Mods they will make it that the father would have to play 109-110 games . But seriously, I think the rules probably will change by that time so we won't get him through father/son.

I doubt it. As much as I love playing conspiracy theorist, I'm fairly sure we'll get all of tehse kids by the father son system if we're willing to bid for them.

You know, this raises a point that I hadn't thought of before. What if we have two kids eligible in the same year, and clubs are willing to throw their first round picks at both of them? Do we have to choose which one we spend our first rounder on? Or can we use our first rounder on one of them and then our next best pick on the other one?

I'd imagine we'd have to use the higher pick on whichever player received a higher bid.

But will we be able to take both? One argument would be that we have a first round pick to use on the second-choice player but are opting not to use it (because we want to use it on the first-choice player) and therefore the other club gets him.

I think Sean Rehn has two boys, Thomas being the oldest and around 10 or 11 yrs old. If my memory is correct he was a monster of a lad at age 5 or 6 yrs of age.
