News New Jumpers for 2015

Sturt used to be with Canterbury and I've gotten a guernsey from 3 years ago. They're pretty good.
That could mean that like Blades, there'll be a woolen collar and cuffs

Wow, only a few weeks ago I was dreaming of them signing someone up – and they've gotten the side who need a new manufacturer most.

People should remember their gear for Pompey was really cool. The stitching should've been OTT, but it never actually looked bad, crass, or ruined the shirt. I reckon they'll do well with North.

Also, their current merch is pretty acceptable.

So every time I watch a North game I'll have to notice the kiwi-heads in the logo...once it's seen, it cannot be unseen!

change isn't necessarily a bad thing. All partnerships must come to an end. Whilst I am sceptical, I am also somewhat excited.

Just made this on Cantebury's official site. Is this what will most likely appear?

EDIT: I can see a massive mazda box being plastered across the back stripes. If that happens this jumper is gonna give me the absolute shits. I hate advertising going over the top of designs.

I highly doubt it would look anything like this. They'll have a team of graphic designers working on kits in professional designing software, other than some cheap interactive kit maker on their website.

Also, there WON'T be a stupid texture on the North jumpers anymore!

It wouldn't surprise me if we had a different collar for the first time since 2004. I didn't mind the texture, it's nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be. It is amazing on the player issue guernseys. And we had new texture on the replica guernseys this year too.

I didn't read any arrogance at all! I was just saying maybe they'd like to explore more options with a professional team.

Also they'd have to fulfill AFL requirements of manufacturer's logo going under the collar.

Is that a requirement? What if the company's personal preference is to have it on the chest (above the AFL logo)?

No idea, I assumed it was because every jumper has had it there since, well, I don't actually know.
They'd have mandated locations, and maximum heights and widths and square-centimeter-ages of sponsors' logos, so I'd be surprised if it wasn't mandated it be of this size, under or in the collar, on the leg of the shorts, and on both socks.

Looks like there is no Richmond new clash jumper next year. This year clash is still $115.

And Klim, prices of current jumpers mean nothing. You can almost guarantee Richmond will have a new clash next year, they just haven't announced or probably designed it yet.

Team store pricing is never a definitive answer. It would be farcical if the AFL were to allow the current Richmond clash jumper to stay after the debacle it caused in September.

Doesn't Richmond give the AFL 1 year notice about a new clash? Or will it break the rules due to the Port v Richmond and WCE saga?

They should have stuck with the "Celebrating 150 years" font. That was perfectly suited for the monogram and logi.

From my understanding, the classic CFC will only feature on the jumper.

As akkaps said. Carlton's "classic" monogram only exists because thats as close as they could get to replicating their monogram when the jumpers were knitted. It'll be current monogram on the logo (whatever that ends up being) and "classic" monogram on the jumper. The way it used to be pre printed jumpers).
