Disagree with this, and I have highlighted alternatives that I would have looked into more who would have either outstripped them by now, or performed no worse while still having more years of development ahead of them.

Notably Gallucci, O'Shea, Deluca, Phillips, Mullett, Fasolo, Kerr, Shaw and Glass-McCasker were a total waste of time.

Look at every club. They all have a similar list of names.

I watched an interview of Bill Nye on Fox news yesterday, trying to get through to the anchor regarding climate change, he made a good point, that most of us get stuck behind.

Why do you think you or the general public for that matter have a right to know why the decision was taken to accept Stephen's decision to resign. I thought that was for the club to manage in house. Would it be prudent for the club to fan each party's grievances?

When organisations make the decision to terminate the contract of an employee are they expected to explain their decision to their stakeholders. I just don't understand your logic or how you have come to form your conclusion that the club which has made a call has in fact failed to own the decision because supporters like you don't like it.

I think that you've misinterpreted my post a little mate
1) I didn't say that it was ok to lie to the support base, I said that it's completely fine that our supporters second guess things as they see fit, this is ultimately a key component of thinking for ones self after all but questioning the company line & creating narratives are drastically different.
2) Only someone who is an extreme SOS fanboi would believe that his shit doesn't stink, regardless of the quality of his performances as a player or List Manager.
It appears as though some fans are tripping over themselves to paint him as some sort of martyr in the absence of any meaningful information on the matter one way or another.

The club may struggle to get one of the more highly touted List Managers atm but there will be interest in the position as there are only a fixed number of opportunities available in this space - we may be able to snag the next big thing rather than securing a "name".
It may be worth noting that as great a job as he appears to have done rebuilding our list, SOS himself wasn't considered to be one of the best at the time that he rejoined the club - hopefully the club can secure another innovative List Manager to continue on with the good work done to date.

The club is not going to come out and degrade a club champion who the majority of supporters love and who looks to have been doing a good job, not to mention has two sons playing at the club. It is probably in everyone’s best interest to just keep it all in-house.

Go through my posting history and you will establish I was a huge SOS fan. I cannot and will not divulge where my info has cone from. But to put it in simple words the club was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

• SOS as good as he was, was not a team player.
• Eventually he lost his team and the confidence of his 2IC.
• situation became toxic within his team and with the CEO and other departmental managers.
• This was going on for a while hence the club sounding out potential replacement since May.
• His 2IC was recruited on the promise of eventually replacing SOS on an agreed by all succession plan.
• This is now not going to happen out of respect to SOS as it would be rubbing salt into the wounds of a club great. 2IC agrees with this but in reality it is roadblocking his career
• To move forward the club had a hard choice, cull half the management team and a large percentage of the recruiting department, or move on SOS
• As much as we are bagging the club being in a similar position in the corporate world, they made the right move.
• The problem is in order to not air their dirty laundry which have resulted in a Media Jizz fest in addition to not further causing damage to a club legends reputation (considering he also has 2 Sons on the list) the decided to use the COI line.
• Problem is to most of us supporters SOS was/is our iconic hero (I will sorely miss his sessions with young Justin)and the COI excuse is so lame we cant accept it and want genuine answers. For the clubs and SOS sake we need to put this to bed and look forward to the first bounce against B@#chmond.

I'm not going to touch on most of your inside word as I have no way of knowing if it is true, false or a one sided account from someone with a vested interest. We'd have to hear both sides to make that decision.

However, this one point sticks for me. Forgetting the possibility that we recruited a 2IC to take over from SOS and whether or not, that was the ingredient that turned the cream sour or not .... if we recruited someone and it was agreed by all he would succeed SOS, why would we now not appoint him out of respect for SOS? Firstly, SOS agreed according to your source so why would his feelings be spared now? Secondly, we parted way in less than respectful terms, it can't be any less respectful than that. Thirdly, if he was considered the best person to be brought into the club, why are we now looking to appoint someone who wasn't considered better than him at the time?

It seems very odd and inconsistent. If you are indeed getting messages from within the club, I do wish they'd shut up and not make it less believable at every turn.

I have no info but it was blatantly clear to me what had gone on as from the face of it the work done over 5 years he should have continued.

People just need to move on, no one is and will ever be bigger than the club
