Just out of curiousity... If a big player comes to a team and wants to maintain his number from a previous club although another player has it, will the team swap numbers? eg. Goddard takes over #18 whilst Hurley changes to a vacant number?

No way, Goddard can **** off. Lloyd gave that to Hurley and thats that. BJ can suck it and pick another number.

Hocking to 14? Why the hell would you suggest changing the number of a player of Hocking's age? That's stupid IMO. Same with Howlett, but to a lesser degree.

Number changes should be in the first couple of years only, I reckon.

I think Hibberd should and will keep his 43.

However, in contrast with my earlier statements I don't like Belly in 44, pretty shit number IMO.

He won't give up 44. Had the chance to take a ruckman's number (27) previously and turned it down. Methinks he likes the number

Yeah you're probably right. I do like it when rookies/pre-season draft type battlers who become good players keep their high numbers, Lingy-like. I just don't like number 44.

40 works well for Howlett, as does 43 for Hibberd. Wouldn't have minded Cramers keeping 45 too, looked good on him.

I think Howlett may get a new number. Had a impressive year and has a few solid years left...

Howlett - #1

Give Van Unen and Kommer better numbers than the other draftees if they're going to get some game time next year. I don't think the rest are expected to play (Not sure about Ashby) So give the other 2 priority.

Goddard was signing jumpers on the Gold Coast today, was asked about the number he'd be wearing.
