Joe Anderson told the guests about his family, he is one of 8 children, and the fact he has been getting in some cricket practice in the back yard where he is living because he will need to be in form for the family cricket games over the Christmas break.

And this was most pleasing to my ears...
Another highlight was hearing from Jo Silvagni, who has confirmed that although Stephen Silvagni is now an assistant coach at St Kilda, she is still a Carlton supporter as is her eldest son Jack who was also in attendance.

Wonder if SOS still loves the Blues? Surely he does. I want all three S.O.SOS boys to love Carlton, not be brainwashed into loving St.Kilda :p Surely Jo gets the final say there ;) I wonder if it hurts knowing three of your mates, in Sticks, Ratten and Braddles are part of the development team at your old Club, and you're off at a random club you have no history with?

I dont want to lose any silvagnis to any other team. It just wouldn't be right.

Just gotta rememberits silvagni first, carlton second and the rest can get *******

Interesting AWG you should say this. I went to school with Jobe Watson and whilst his dad was the coach of St. Kilda at the time he still was a mad Essendon supporter. Also it has been stated that the boys still love the blues in some article that i read. Sorry guys i cant remember where i read that.

hopefully Sos will come up with an excuse to Quit st kilda and comeback to his rightful club :thumbsu:

Think he only ever came to Melbourne (Carlton) to learn the caper and then go back to Perth to coach.

I actually heard that if Carlton had've offered the gig to Woosha then he would have accepted it.

He would be glad we didn't offer it to him now though.

Started a thread on this the day after the function... the pictures in this article dont do Jo any justice either!! She is one gorgeous women!

You guys picked up some very good youngsters.I feel for a lot of the blues supporters who are excited about the future and the new breed of players coming through.Because if your coach and the board don't get it together a lot of the youngsters could get very confused serve thier intial time at carlton then want atransfer back to their homestate or another club.An example could be that Gibbs plays well at the Blues and if the infighting with the board continue, once his 2 year intial contract is over he may push to go back to Adelaide at his prime, where both adelaide and port will be salvitating to get him.Adelaide have already shown enormous interest in him and were annoyed that they couldn't claim him through the father and son rule,so all i'm saying is that you don't need to get and all the players feeling edgy so early in their careers.I think it was fev who came out earlier this year when all the ******** was happening with pagan, mitchell and the board, and said that all the players need things to sort out with the adminstrative hireachy because all the players are getting alittle edgy and just want things to be calm so the players can concentrate on playing good footy.I know you guys as supporters can't do much but hope things work out with the administrative team and your coach.Hope things work out because i know if this was happening at collingwood, all the players would cause a mutiny.Good luck guys.
