Why are you coming to Adelaide maccas_no1 ??

All you seem to do is bad mouth our wonderful city on here so I question why you'd even bother to visit?? Only last week when someone made a thread about the flamingo bashing, you chimed in with something like "Typical Adelaide"

Free transport on NYE between midnight and 6am I believe. usually Glenelg and town are hotspots. Last year was too f**** hot to do anything but chill out under a air conditioner playing poker :thumbsu:. 43C was ridiculous!!

I went up to mates shack at Blanchetown was 47 degrees up there! Needless to say I pretty much just sat in the river all night.

whats it to you?

Oh here he is the man with zero intelligence:rolleyes:

Since you insist on needing to further prove your stupidity, I will be in Adelaide over xmas and new year, visiting my parents with my wife and children, simple inquiry as to where is the place to be on NYE.

My folks had visitors from overseas with teenagers and young children last year, they went to Glenelg and the whole family had a good time. They got down their a little early, had some food, a walk on the beach and then the entertainment etc kicked off, they said it was good. Only a few people clearly drunk getting themselves into trouble, but apparently up until when they left just after midnight, it was quite well behaved. Not sure if you want a family outing, but just thought i'd fill you in.

I myself will be heading over from Vic too, but i'm going to travel to KI for the first time! Looking forward to that.

So Adelaide doesn’t shut down at 8 o’clock like all current perception would have us believe. You mean we have a night life and after hour activities going on. After reading Adelaide- a Tourist Mecca, one would be lead to believe that Adelaide would be a ghost town on NYE.

Oh well...not so.

So, you can continually bag our city throughout the year, only to come back and ask for assistance in finding a good place to bring in the new year.

However, I will be the bigger man and help you, generally the Pooraka RSL is a great place to being in the New Year, so I suggest you head there.

Especially if old Bruce Ruxton has done or said something stupid in the last few months. Those old RSL guys just love extracting the urine out of the Vics.

I used to love going to the RSL with my pop when i was a kid, good times.

Is the Bay actually any good. If its a dry zone thats balls.

They should clearly have the 'family' thing in one location and a 'party' style thing at another location.

People can head to bars, clubs, house parties etc if they want to get hammered. I think its great the street parties are generally dry zones, it allows families to enjoy themselves without worrying about those idiots who get wasted and cause trouble. We younger folk have enough places to go to party in the new year.
