folks to avoid squabble threads perhaps in the spirit of good will we can look at New Year's resolutions?

Do you have any?

Football resolutions?

Sports resolutions?

Other resolutions?

Maybe none?

Whatever, preview what you may think you wish to do.

Over to you......

To start I think I'm going to try to learn a little more about our ladies team.

If no flag, then another? Tattoo of lars or Metallica or some such?

Hope you had a great Xmas and thanks for being part of making our board a terrific place

Thanks. A bit disappointed Scodog didn’t get the spirit of Xmas reference from Frankie.
No flag although if they do a Southern Cross for free on Australia day, I might be tempted. No Lars or Metallica either. I named my child after them and that should be good enough.
I am too old for that kind of fan boy thing nowadays . Glad I didn't gave into that urge when I was in my twenties.
Got a few designs in mind that I want to have done. My family coat of arms from the 1500's or a Celtic knot work that resembles a wolf ( my real name means noble wolf in old German)

Coat of arms perfect idea.

I only mentioned Lars as you had mentioned previously your son named thereof.
I thought you'd get the discerning reference of mine.

ps there was certain German leader (if you call him that) whose first name means noble wolf, of which he was neither.

On a happy note the Owner of the 1951 Melbourne Cup winner, Delta, was likewise a named noble wolf in translation.
Sir Adolph Basser.
Apprantly a great philanthropist, and of non favoured background in Germany at the time, so the name in of itself was not evil.

In fact he was called The Leader. Adolf only means Wolf btw. It is from the word Dulf. But he liked the Wolf reference. In his letters to his GF he called himself Wolfy. That his HQ was called Wolfschanze(Wolf's Lair) was no coincedence either. But to squash any rumors: My 2nd name is Rudolf (not after the reindeer , that is an American thing my parents would have hardly heard of )

Wolf means wolf in German. It is a Germanic word. Adolf is indeed a shortened derivative of earlier Germanic names meaning "Noble wolf".

My resolution is to try not to be so annoying on Bigfooty!
