As all real supporters know, we have two sets of New Years resolutions:

A. Those involving the real world and our day to day lives

B. Those involving St Kilda and all things AFL

What are your AFL / Saints resolutions?

1. That I will appreciate that our younger players will be inconsistent and have fluctuations in game day performance.

2. That I will move heaven and earth to attend BOTH Saints games in Queensland in 2013.

3. That I will remember to say good morning, to my better half, BEFORE checking BF posts in the early morning.

Some resolutions were just meant to be broken.

Not guilty of not saying good morning but very guilty of wasting 'our quality time' by watching replays of games/re-checking stats/starting draft research in Jan/ordering things off StKFC website that i don't need.

My resolution is - Be patient with Spencer White.....

Mine is to Continue having dreams of St Kilda winning the 2013 premiership until we actually do on the last day of september. :P

My New Years resolution is to be nice to Kosi :P

But on serious note, hope everyone has great Christmas and happy & safe new year. Been awesome year on here & reckon 2013 will be bigger and better!

Go Saints!

Get a jerb! What am I gonna do without university anymore.

Argh.

Do it, whilst you may initially hate hours and the fact entire weeks go by and you wonder what you've accomplished, the alternative is far worse, trust me.

Anyway...

  1. Hopefully attend more games than last year and hopefully be set up enough to attend the NZ matches (though that looks unlikely, it's good to have goals).
  2. Less analysis of games when I do attend and treating it like chess in "what I would do if I were coach" (since I have aspirations to coach) and more enjoyment of the game itself for what it is, a game between two worthy sides of men.
  3. To pay Guide, because it appears I've fluffed my bank account a little that I need them to set up intarweb banking. Whoopsies.
  4. To both fix our reception issues & get Foxtel for all my cricket & AFL fix.
  5. To actually bring Octavius (my stuffed St Kilda octopus) to see a game of footy, I've always chickened out that he'd get so dirty and be an unappreciative sod...
And I suppose also appreciate what the core group do as much as I appreciate the steps that the younger and "quieter" achievers do in games as well, as grading scales for experience is quite unfair at times and expectations are likewise.

1. Swear a lot. I mean really, footy is just an excuse to drink beer!
2. Wear my lucky socks to every home game.
3. Pile yet more shit on Carlton supporters.
4. Claim Seb Ross >>> Goddard.
5. Work hard, make a stack of money.
6. Claim Milne >>> Skilton (U MAD?)

Have a good one and see you all in the new year!

My resolution is to finally use my lucky condom ive had in my wallet for 17yrs.

It would be lucky if it still worked (thinking of baseball - or alternatively Ross Lyon's gameplan - would have a better chance of success).

Never drunk at the footy before, but the few games we snuck a goon bag in were some of the greatest.

Amazed we didn't get into a fight with the Pies supporters in front of us when Milney was ripped off in the last 20 second. Not sure how they put up with us. But we shook ends at the end of the game and wished them luck. Top lads.

Define 'ends'. :p

1. Accept that we are going to get monstered by dominant key forwards.
2. Resist the urge to abuse moronic opposition supporters.

Thanks to all the posters on this board for making 2012 a great year, in particular the mods for running a great board, and aussiethunda for his outstanding posting of opinions and updates. Happy new year to you all and see you in 2013.

I vow (to myself) to accept that a team with many new players is going to be inconsistent.
I vow (to myself) not to lose patience with individual players
I still hold expectations of playing finals
I will try and think better of scum that follow Carlton, but I won't promise anything to myself on that topic
I will try and not think of Luke Ball, Brendan Goddard and a few other players who have parted ways from our great club as being traitors and losers

I wish to just enjoy the year with no interest in win/loss ratios, or whether St Kilda does well or not....

I will not scream that the TV, "JUST TWO MORE GOALS" in the last quarter in close games any more.

Bound to break it, but maybe this time I will make it past the NAB cup.

I resolve to hand out more red cards. :D

On a serious note, have little expectation on the boys and instead enjoy watching the changing of the guard.

Also try to back more winners!!!!
