Not only do they not pay royalties on our resources, but the big internationals, then double down on that and many of them pay $0 tax…you and I pay more tax to the Aus government than companies like ExxonMobile, Chevron etc etc.

They do, but they should pay more. Or be forced to employ more Australians in facilities here or overseas in order to continue to pay so little in tax.

I'm really struggling with the generic hatred toward the US. They've saved our ass and we should have no issue paying them back for doing as such, and continuing to be the sole reason we aren't faced with shit other countries face regularly.

I get companies being able to recoup investment costs first. That makes sense.

But we should not let companies fudge figures etc to minimise tax/royalties or whatever you call it

I saw the news this morning and reports of the interim leader (Rodriguez) basically saying the US can get ****ed and not getting their resources has left The Pedo red faced and then barked threats at her.

The other issue is,

It is not up to another country to step in and do what they want. Surely there is international laws that should prevent this shit, so where is the line? So what Isreal have done is okay, Russias invasion is all good? China can just take Taiwan now?

Just cant be doing shit like that. Not unless there is genuine reasons. Drugs is not a good enough reason.

Depends what you're doing I guess. I used to use it as a base to head out to the Rosario Islands or whatever and play golf at Karibana, the Mrs used to get massages all day on the beach, I love the old city there. I was never robbed or anything but I speak the language and don't go out drinking.

I'm in Aus now, up near Myrtleford. Speaking with the InLaws they aren't supporters of the current govt (who aren't happy with it at all btw) but the in-laws will be happy if some of the political refugees go home as it's very crowded in places.
