Not Adams. Can’t handle the pressure.
Long bow to presume his 2 quiet games while in the role are indicative of what he might offer longer term if the players ever selected him.

Always seen Adams as the obvious choice. For the not so obvious, wouldn't be surprised to see Maynard get it.
I mean, not anytime soon, but I reckon at least 3 years down the track he would be in the conversation, if he stays on his current trajectory.I’d be very surprised to see Maynard elevated to captain.

Arguably 2 minutes off winning a Norm Smith so id say he handles pressure okNot Adams. Can’t handle the pressure.
Can Pendles play long enough to hand it over to Jax?
He's also a fair bit older than guys like Adams, Grundy and MooreCan’t be Steele, he’s too easily tagged
So was burns, I think you choose the best leader irrespective of ageHe's also a fair bit older than guys like Adams, Grundy and Moore
Yes exactly. Michael Tuck became captain at 32 and then skippered 4 premierships. So was burns, I think you choose the best leader irrespective of age
Sounds like a planYes exactly. Michael Tuck became captain at 32 and then skippered 4 premierships.

Has there ever been a case of a(n experienced) player being brought into a club from another club and being made captain in their first year?
Edit: Barassi!
Judd.
I think that the obvious candidate is Taylor Adams who was easily our most consistent and best player during the 2018 grand final by the way. He was the only bloke who was picking the rest of our players off the canvas that day and showing the boys what to do except for De Goey.
Sadly our woeful recruiting from 2011 - 2013 is coming back to bite us badly now as our side lacks leadership from anyone below 27 bar Adams and Maynard.
I would agree,Grundy & Moore are both under 26 and display leadership within the playing group.
There has been some talk that Brodie may not want the job, though Moore openly coveted as a youngster coming to the club. As has been stated above, his body is temperamental and he is missing tomorrow.Grundy & Moore are both under 26 and display leadership within the playing group.
