IMO, young Bryce looks like the most likely to take the mantle once big Chris has had enough. Has leader/example-setter written all over him.

i think if this poll was done again now, gibbs would get a lot more votes.
yep his last 3-4 games have proved he is going to be the champion player we wished for.

he is a pleasure to watch and hes only 19!! its sick to imagine how good he will be in 4-5 years time!!!!

I think it'll be a tussle between them both over the following years.

Don't get me wrong, i think Murphy would be a great captain, but there's just something about Gibbs that has future captain written all over him.

I used to think Murph was a certainity but Gibbs is a natural leader of men and will become one of our greatest captains, he will be given an outstanding apprenticeship by the great man Judd. :thumbsu:

Murphy. Oozes class and leadership at such a young age, so much so that it will be oozing out of his pimples.

Bryce Gibbs has shown maturity beyond his years this season, he's stepped up quite a few gears, he'll be the next Captain of the Carlton Football Club

There seems to be some confusion regarding the chronology of this thread, and being the selfless considerate soul that I am, I've drawn up the following timeline to help people get perspective:

21 Feb 2007: Lance Whitnall appointed captain of the Carlton Football Club
11 June 2007: An obviously unsatisfied Team Mo' starts thread discussing who would be the next captain of our great club.
18 June 2007: BlueYoss assures fellow posters that there is no leadership crisis at Princes Park as none other than Chris Judd will be the next captain of the great CFC
Judd.
Problem solved :D
16 September 2007: Chris Judd announces that he will move back to Victoria.
2 October 2007: Chris Judd announces that Carlton is his preferred Victorian Club (HBF starts creaming himself uncontrollably).
11 October 2007: Chris Judd traded to Carlton.
19 February 2008: Chris Judd appointed Captain of the Carlton.
18 July 2008: Judd plays the best 13 minutes of football ever seen almost single handedly dragging Carlton to victory against the Saints, HBF still very much out of control!
20 July 2008: In a crucial season defining game against Sydney, Carlton need Judd's leadership to hold onto the four points and hopes of playing in September. After a strong first half, Brett Kirk keeps Judd to 4 touches for the second half of the game. Finally HBF stops creaming...but for how long? :p

...one more thing, I take it no one will ever question my VRS' again?
