Who will be our coach by the end of 2016?

We have too much talent to serve up the shit we constantly do so my question is, who is our next realistic coach? I don't want to see Clarkson or Lyon because we aren't going to get those guys, I want to see suggestions on who is realistically going to be the coach that will take our talent to the next level.

Problem is even if we lose the first 15 games, Eddie and bucks will blame injuries. The only way we will have a new coach is if we lose a massive amount of games by alot of points, and have a healthy side. Then the media pressure might just make Eddie pull the plug. What's bomber thompson up to these days?

Let's worry about it in 2018? Buckley is signed, let's not put the man under pressure after one game.

We've all had ordinary days in our respective jobs, how would you like it if people were calling for your head after you entered the wrong number into a spreadsheet...

I think if we miss the 8 this year badly he will be sacked and contract paid out.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

It will be buckley
Jett or Ayce?

You're probably right, Nathan isn't going anywhere unless Ed does and even then one of his boys is likely to get the gig.

Think we really made a huge mistake for our club not getting Bolton.
Why would we go after Bolton if Bucks apparently has done everything that was asked of him by the board?

Anyone but Buckley.

The annoying thing is if we do have a terrible year, we can look forward to GWS taking one of the best juniors in the country with our pick. I think the pick will probably end up somewhere around where it was last year. And having zero structure is our issue, which is a coaching thing. Even when this team is winning contested ball and in a grove offensively, our players run around like headless chooks and are easily burned on counter attacks. That's not purely about player effort.

Let's not throw the towel in just yet but if we went backwards this season again and it was decided a new coach was required then Ratten is the one I'd be after.

Tudor another I'd look at.

Then there is Thompson but the club would need to be certain he was fully committed and was hungry so it didn't turn into a Blight like situation.

I can't think of too many things that would be more awesome than if Ratten were to coach us to a Gf win after what Carlton did to him.

Follow the Clarkson mold.. business astute.. educated.. great team ethics.. a proven assistant coach or senior coach at another level.. i really dont care if we pluck him from anywhere. I really scratch my head at times thinking back to buckley and how his team mates rated him.. he was not well liked by his peers.. was that overlooked in his appointment as coach? A leopard never changes its spots!

In 2006 Collingwood beat Geelong by 102 points. They didn't sack Bomber and things turned out OK for them. Just sayin'.

Let's not throw Bucks out with the bathwater just yet. We had a bad night. Move along.

Poor effort by Bucks, players did not give a yelp. Game plan is shallow so if the confidence is down it literally falls apart, the number of easy and/or unattended marks inside 50 on a small ground was unforgivable. Either the gameplay is flawed or the coach can't inspire the players to execute: both these failures are down to the coach.

I heard he had a crack at the media for making the party drug story about Collingwood, is this true? If do its weak an irrelevant: under Matthews and Malthouse if there was a scandal we would come out the next week and punish the opposition because until the very end both coaches had the players fighting for one another.

Very sad for Bucks as he is a 100% loyal Pie and giving his all, but if he hadn't got the players it's time to leave. One bad game does not a season make, but he must win a final this year or resign.
