Meh, not a whole heap will be added by dropping Jetta and Bennell, especially the way we played today. Don't pump your tires up too much MM. Maric in for Jetta if he is ready to go though. Besides that I'd be looking for a strong performance from Rohan Bail, and trying to get him in to add a bit of run but I'm not sure who to drop.

Forward line just has to keep working and there is no point dropping any of them besides Jetta, and we are very short on numbers in the backline now. Midfield have to lift, Morton was good so the pressure might come on the experienced guys soon.

Also PJ was horrible. Drop him if Meesen shows anything at all. Spence battled well.

I would love to know if a team has ever had a worse record at a stadium than we do at AAMI (last 5-6 years). I honestly doubt that we've got within 60 points in any of the last 10 matches.

Meesen for Spencer for two games so we can get some perspective on who to persist with. Not saying he's necessarily better but it's not like we're playing for the finals here.

And yes, Maric for Jetta too if available.

Unfortunately our mid-sized forward line only gets us so far. Miller is the only key forward there. Bate could make a good player out of the goal square but he can't be the main FF target. It took the Kangaroos a quarter to figure out our forward line and Collingwood a half. After that, it was smooth sailing for both teams.

Our "key forwards" are basically Petterd, Bate, Sylvia and Miller with only Miller having the size to play as one. Unless the kick and lead are perfect, Petterd and Bate won't mark it. Sylvia can chime in for a contested mark every now and then but does it really matter when he's likely to miss the set shot anyway?

If only we had Garland...then we could give Martin a run up forward.

Meesen should come in for Spencer in my view. Whilst Spencer looks to have some ability, I don't think he is quite up to the intensity and speed at AFL level at this point.

Meesen may show very little, but at least one can be assured that he has the ability to run the game out. In any case, as SM stated, it is reletively inconsequential as to who plays, so it is worth giving each of them a go to evaluate their abilities, particularly at a time when Jamar is injured.

Doubt it will be on channel 7 TV.

Perhaps players should watch yesterday's night match on TV - that is how St Kilda won at AAMI. Could be a useful resource.

OUT:McLean Even Robbo with a torn Archilles is faster than this bloke at the moment.

IN : Anyone with some leg speed and zip around the ground.

We have such a poor record at AAMI becuase we always get whipped by Port and the Crows. Both those teams have a fast running style, which we just can't match up to.

I can see a fair hiding coming up, but hopefully we can show good signs here and there, just as we have in parts of the North and Collingwood matches.

At least thats something we can take away from the first couple of rounds so far.

That is an incredibly stupid idea. Why on earth would we drag Robertson on a plane to Adelaide to get smashed? And he isn't even 100%!! If your coming back from a serious injury there is no point in rushing it for him to do it again.

bit surprised some people are calling for bennels head... thought against the pies he showed some real good signs when he had the ball... not worried by the pace and definitely took the game on with some good results...

jetta is not up 2 it at the moment though and think maric deserves a chance...

spencer is alright in the circle but might as well go straight off after that cos is useless around the ground... has some serious work to do on his skills before he is ready for the big time...

and once again PJ got dominated... he is not at all acountable and dont think has that many afl games left in him in his current form... think we need 2 give meesen a run, not like he could do any worse

I like Bennell a lot more than Jetta. I think that Jetta could easily turn into another Weetra but I hope not. Bennell showed some good signs but I think that we have better players even given our injuries.

Initially, yes, I was particularly impressed with one of his efforts early on. He does taper off though, and this is what I was referring to. He needs to sustain his effort for longer periods, and could use some more development in this area. Still, he does show some encouraging signs from time to time. I would like to Meesen get a change next week though.

I think that's a little harsh on Jetta, he's in his first season playing at a level totally foreign to him. That, in conjunction with the transition from WA to Melbourne would suggest he needs some time to settle in. I know the result yesterday was rather disheartening, but I think some patience is necessary with Jetta, as it is with both Watts and Blease. I do think Jetta could do with some time in the VFL though.

Spencer looks so raw. I honestly believe he should be developing his game at Casey, now that he's had a taste of senior footy (and let's be honest, got spanked both times.)

Both McIntosh and Fraser tore our ruckmen to pieces, both in the contests and around the ground. I would like to see the supposedly fit Meeson get a crack, with the aim of simply tagging the opposition ruckman around the ground.

Jetta has had a couple of games now so it might be worth sending him back to the VFL. As for the other out, there are plenty of possibles.

Grimes will only be 3-4 weeks away. No point in playing him 2's either, he's ready for seniors, need to get the games under his belt.

I agree with the bennell calls. I actually liked his run and poise on Saturday, much more than the Roos game anyway. Give him a couple more games and his confidence could sky rocket. The only reason to push him out would be to make room for Whelan or Wheatley, who are both probably still some time off.

Maric in for Jetta. He looks a likely type soon, but not yet. Maric is a smart footballer, and showed in his few games last year that he has potential to be a match winner in the coming years.

Also I'd like either Dunn or Juice to come in and give us that third marking option up forward. Playing Spencer up there was about as threatening as Cam Bruce kicking inside 50. Seriously, what the F has happened to his footskills? I think Guerra demolished that part of his brain when he smashed him those years ago. Plus is anyone else thinking that its time for the Bate/Dunn forward combo to be given a chance to work?

Also I have not been impressed with Spencer at all. Never would I dream of the day that I would wish Jamar to be back in our side. If only we had kept Jolly. Its time to bring the man that gets unfairly abused on this site considering most people on here probably haven't even seen him play, and give meesen a go.

Also calls for Brock to be dropped are the stupidest calls I've heard. Don't be ridiculous. Lets drop Warnock and Davey while we're at it.
