All for playing the kids but if they aren't earning a game, I'm not going to just give them one.

With regards those you mentioned, before the game I was listening to MMM and Doc Larkins said that Cotch has trouble with both achillies, we're not going to get much out of playing him now, other than possibly injurying him and setting his preseason back. If it was me I would put him in cotton wool and get him right for pre season training. Foley was listed as a 3 week injury so another week out wont hurt. As you said Collins can come back through Coburg.

As for the older blokes like Bowden and Richo I get the feeling that sooner or later we will see them both coming into the side for farewell games. Richo is apparently 3 weeks away and Bowden has his testimonial soon IIRC so it would be wrong to have him celebrate it by playing at Coburg.

We aren't going to beat Essendon anyways, Foley will come in if fit. Cotchin well... don't have a problem with packing him away. I would still include Collins over Bowden any day of the week. Do you really want to play McGuane, Thusfield, Bowden, Silvester and Rance all in the one team? Bowden can come back in on the week of his testimonial/end of the year - our priority as a club is to play as many youngsters as possible as much as possible.

If Bowden was to come I would only have him coming off the bench when one of McGuane, Thursfield, Rance or Silvester needed a rest or he plays up forward to provide a bit of experience for Post Vickery Jack Mitch and Nahas.

As I said, I'm not going to hand out games to kids just for the sake of it, you earn a game you play, then it becomes play well enough and you stay in.

You have rocks in your head if you think they will drop McMahon he was one of our better players

Sadly, Bazzar, there is generally little rhyme nor reason to the "Next Week's Changes" thread on here each week.

Very thinly veiled disguise for people to let us know who their favourite players are and who they don't like.

McMahon could rack up 30 possessions and kick four goals but 80% of people on here would call for for his axeing!!!

Ditto for King and Hislop and Edwards etc. etc.

25 possies for McMahon and MadTiger wants him culled.

Yet gets on here weekly spruiking for Cleve Hughes to be elevated.

LOL ... 25 possessions has constituted Hughes' entire season at Coburg Ressiers and Seniors!!!

On form, would suggest Coughlan and King might be the guys to make way for the returning Cousins and Cotchin and only the unavailability of Moore and hesistation on Polak will save Sylvester!!

You don't elevate guys who couldn't get the job done for Coburg at the expense of those who played yesterday unless they absolutely demanded inclusion .. and it would appear Polak and to alesser extent Bowden were the only two to do so!!

Had his usual 25 cheap possessions lol. We don't want him on the list next year
if it wasnt for McMahon we would not have kicked any goals after half time and less then we did before half time. he created alot of run and if we had a better forward sucture he would have someone to kick it to.

And arnt we lucky you have no input into selection:) So let me get this right. You for personal reasons (ie: you hate him) want him dropped, or you believe he will be dropped on todays performance?

Spot on. Thank goodness Toby(madtiger) has no input into team selection or who will be coaching us or anything else to do with the club :D

RT those have to be some of your worst changes ever. What happened to you wanting to play the kids? 2 30 year old's in? You don't want Foley, Cotchin or Collins in?

OUT: King, Hislop, Coughlan
IN: Cotchin, Cousins, Foley

Collins to earn a game back via Coburg. Not a fan of Silvester but he earned another game, Moore through the 2's, McGuane to get a foot up the ass and told he is on the brink of being dropped. He's been extremely poor as of late.

I would rather have a half fit Moore in the side than Silvester anytime.
Out - Silvester King Coggo
In - Cuz Cotch and Moore (if fit) otherwise Polak (He has earnt a game)

Several ways to ge here.

  1. The tankers (which I proudly am not) would bring in JON and Schulz for Tambling and Riewoldt
  2. On yesterdays form (you can really judge on the first half or otherwise the entire team will be dropped) McGuanne & Graham out and Pattison and Bowden in - McGuanne was too unaccountable in hte first half yesterday and then got worse. Graham is in need of a reality check, he still is only an apprentice and needs to work harder around the ground
  3. Side for the future we mothball Cotch and Cuz and bring in Connors and Collins(if fit) and Cogs and McMahon go out

All these changes wont happen but i wouldnt mind seeing them

Out: White- Hislop- King- Coughlan- Graham
In: Cousins- Bowden- Collins- Cotchin- Pattison

Foley will miss 1 more week apparantly, and Moore has been terrible for the last 6 weeks and i would be happy for him to spend a few weeks in the vfl.

Out: Hislop, King, Coughlan

In: Cotchin, Cousins, Foley

Not sure what the go is with Kel Moore so I haven't made a decision on him.

Dunno if you are on the mark with these "in's" PHX but if you are, then that there is a quality injection of class and skill into the engine room in 1 week!

OUT: Sylvester, Coughlan, Rance

Otherwise I don't really care just bring in a youngster or two...

I somehow dont think this is Richo's last year. How handy would it be to have this guy playing out of the goal square next year ?

What's the go with Cotchin? Word was he was mixing with the players after the game and anyone with a virus wouldn't be allowed to do that.
I fear it's his achilles again.
If that's the case, rest him for the season and for god's sake get it fixed properly.

Hmmm........hope not, those archilles can be career killers:eek:

out: Coughlan, White, King

In: Cousins, Cotchin, Brown

If nathan Brown is fit, play him, he chopped McPhee up

Out: Rance (Needs to find some form), Hislop and King/Coughlan
In: Cousins, Collins, Foley/Cotchin

IF there is anything wrong with Cotchin, then don't play him for the rest of the year. Make sure he gets his achellis 100% right and ready for a big pre-season.
