Who is in line for Australia after Gilchrist calls it a day and then, and than Haddin takes his spot? who will be 2nd in line??

Luke Ronchi

Adam Crosthwaite

Sean Clingeleffer

Shane Deitz

Chris Hartley

Other

Seeing as we've been exposed to Gilchrist's batting prowess we'll be looking for someone who can bat as well so it's probably going to Ronchi or Paine.

Haddin?

Clingeleffer, Dietz

Crossys batting is terrible

Hartley is the best gloveman, but his batting is shaky

After Haddin, it will be Ronchi or Paine

I will be laughing for days if Adam Crosthwaite gets any votes.

He is the worst gloveman in domestic cricket. Manou is better than him behind the stumps.

Are you trying to balance out bushranger for stupid coments?

Is Crosthwaite better than Paine, Hartley, Ronchi, Hadden, or Deitz? No. Therefore, it is not a stupid comment.

His glove work is at a far lower standard to the rest of them.
Well the last time i watched Hartley and Crossy in the same game it was Hartley dropping sitters and conceding runs from poor keeping

If we are talking pure keeping, Clingeleffer is easily the best keeper in Australia (that includes Gilchrist and Haddin).

The only reason Paine isn't keeping is because they want to work on his batting, something maybe Ronchi and the likes should do for a while. Paine will take the gloves back soon enough, and is just as good a gloveman as those listed. He **********s on all of them with the bat (except maybe Ronchi, but Ronchi will never play test cricket)

The question should be who is going to be the next keeper after Haddin.

So far there are 3 contenders + Crosthwaite just for the hell of it.

Ronchi - Explosive batter. Batting is his strength and seems like after Haddin he would be our 3rd best Odi option behind the stumps.

Hartley - The best keeper playing state cricket at the moment. Very good with the gloves and a battler with the bat. If he wants to play for Australia he'll need to improve his batting over the next couple of seasons.

Paine - Young and promising. Has good glove work and good potential with the bat. Will be a frontrunner with Hartley and Ronchi to replace Haddin.

Crosthwaite - Average keeper at best. Batting also not the strongest. Needs to improve both before coming into consideration. His keeping especially needs some work, he fumbles far too often when standing upto the stumps for my liking.

I haven't seen much of Paine but what I have was nothing special. Ronchi, Haddin and Deitz are much better batsmen than keepers. Harley is currently better than Crosthwaite behing the stumps but that's about it so yeah it was a stupid comment.

Australia has quite a bit of depth in batting keepers but I don't think any of them keep to international standard at the moment. Hartley would be my pick to lift his batting and take the job unless Haddin fills in long enough for someone young enough like Crosthwaite to improve his game to a high enough standard to jump ahead in the pecking order.

when gilly retires i will play crossy at 7 in the one dayers

You do know that we are trying to WIN games! Crossy just loses games and he is Victorian and there has only been one decent one in the last 10 years and that was Warne!
