Let's break a membership record and i guarrantee the blues will win lots more games:thumbsu:
I am making sure i am a club member next year no matter what and i'm getting my mates to do the same.
I love this club and would hate afl if it folded.

Let's get back on top both on and off the field and provide the intial revival of the Carlton Football Club.

2009= One more cup in the cupboard:thumbsu:

No reason not to sign up again folks and upgrade it too, direct debit over 12 months if you have to, will barely notice it. :)
Absolutely. I know we all feel like we're at a low point with Thornton walking out, but that's no reason for any supporter to do the same. We all know Saint supporters who have stuck like poo on a blanket to their team through an entire wooden cutlery set, and still they sign up.

So don't let it be said that we're weak rabble, have no faith, or that the rats are leaving the sinking ship. Sign up when those packs come out in November and let's push this club forward.

I will renew no matter what :thumbsu:

Imagine if every Carlton Big Footy poster was able to convince one Carlton supporter (non member) to sign up - now that would be a very good effort.

I think it's hard to do that but a very good idea, as long as we try. We need to get on board the carlton ship even if we don't attend games. The club is struglling financially and we should help.

With the young list coming through, the one thing Blues need is a record membership and then all this crap talk of folding will be gone.
What is needed is a massive push from the club. Starting early when jumpers are presented to the likes of Gibbs. The club can do a lot, but it is the enthusiasm of supporters like you that can make a real difference.
A massive drive on sites like this and other Carlton sites.
Rather than rattling scummy tins, support and drives through radio stations early in the pre season would be helpful. There are enough high up Blues supporters on the radio to help with this.
I think the push has to be really hard this year. The team will improve in 08-09, but next year is where you can't afford to have a membership drop off.
Good luck!

Well my parents and I will definately be renewing and I think I have convinced my aunty and uncle to join up for 2007. They have 3 kids as well and they often go to the footy so hopefully the entire family will be signed up.

The year after our first wooden spoon saw the Blues with a record membership (33,000 approx) which was an amazing effort considering the poor year. Lets hope that most Carlton supporters dig deep in 2007 to help bring the boys back to one of the powerhouse teams in the AFL!

Go Baggers! :thumbsu:

After having renewed faith in the Blues after winning the premiership on AFL Premiership 2006 (PS2) last night (and yes I dropped Thornton for the GF!).

I think that must be a sign :)

Definitely would hope to renew my membership!

I am heading for England in the new year, but I am seriously thinking about taking out a membership regardless :D

I am also going to talk to one of the guys who I work with atm who is also a huge Carlton fan and try and talk him into getting a membership... but he has just brought an apartment over here in Perth so he might not have the money.

I did. I have been living in San Francisco for the past four years.

Coming home next year and upgrading back to my Social Club package, but this time the family version.

Sick & tired of losing, the only way I can help club is to be a member ( will be signing up again ).

We should be able to get 35 - 40k members, when are the non-members going to realise lack of money is severley affecting on-field performance as well.

You can't just wait for all the draft picks to develop, then sign up.

We need the money for additional recruiting staff in SA & WA.

My brother, old man and myself will be resigning again... every year we do. I think this will be my 13th season straight as a member.

Whether we like it or not this trade/draft period is going to have a big bearing on what our numbers are going to be next year. Fail, especially with trades & psd's and our number will plummet to 25K for 2007. Get a big name or so and we might weather the storm and sit around the 28K again. Big couple of months coming up.

Not bloody good enough. Must get to 32 plus, possibly 35.
If the last few months arent enough to make all Blues supporters become members...then what is??
The push for record membership for the club in 07 needs to be a massive priority. Do we have anyone at the club or associted with it, that can get the membership drive happening like never before?
It is make or break time. If the first we hear about Carlton membership is during the preseason cup, then we may as well head north.

MS, the masses want hope. They want a resurgence and want to see it start now, not tomorrow.

The club has spent 5 years fiddling with life and the Carlton faithfull are telling us enough is enough.

We need to be get some new, fresh & exciting blood through the door this week and over the next month. Dress them up and sell them. Now whether that is via trades, priority picks returned and/or drafting, it MUST HAPPEN.

That is it in a nutshell. If people felt that our last half of the season match games was quite and dis-interesting, just wait for season 2007 without any preseason hope.

only reason im renewing is because finally the club has come together.

only way the club will move forward and i think finally we can see light at the end of the tunnel

Surely the prospect of seeing Gibbs, Murphy, Walker, Kennedy, Simpson, Fevola, Betts, all excitement machines, running around in the navy blue should be enough to let all Carlton supporters know that the club is going to head in the right direction. Add names such as Whitnall, Scotland, Blackwell, Setanta. Stevens, Waite, Fisher and another couple of kids in Bower, Jackson and even Flint and there is much to look forward to. I urge all Carlton supporters to jump on now, instead of hedging your bets for another couple of seasons. When the premiership finally comes (and it will) it will be more the sweeter for those that have stuck with the club through the hard times.

Everyone who can afford to become a member for next season should do so. Whether that means buying a full membership or the various other options available, such as Blue memberships for those people who can't attend games but want to show their support. We are all in this together.

Yeah and all these people we have to look forward to watching have fallen into our lap.

But what else has been brought in to make us better?

Dylan McLaren? Jason Saddington? Callum Chambers? Troy Longmuir?

And we are about to lose one of our better young defenders for nothing.

I can't blame members for not signing up with very little being done to improve the team other than relying on draft picks as a result of being crap.
