Being influential in a flag whilst getting scragged by taggers all year does more for his legacy than a Brownlow in a middling team would.Meh. A second premiership medal is all Nick wants

"4 time premiership player and 2 time Norm Smith medallist" sounds better on his post career CV than what Cripps will end up being described as with his individual fluff awardsBeing influential in a flag whilst getting scragged by taggers all year does more for his legacy than a Brownlow in a middling team would.
Not like Monday. That was comicalIt’s still his form. Buckley hard a hard tag for 280 games.
There's no doubt he'll pick up the individual awards along the way regardless."4 time premiership player and 2 time Norm Smith medallist" sounds better on his post career CV than what Cripps will end up being described as with his individual fluff awards

Yeah 100%. I still think hes got multiple Brownlow's in him but the flags are all that he cares about which is a brilliant attitude for a young fellaThere's no doubt he'll pick up the individual awards along the way regardless.
Plenty of greats haven't won Brownlow's. Plenty of greats haven't won premierships.Yeah 100%. I still think hes got multiple Brownlow's in him but the flags are all that he cares about which is a brilliant attitude for a young fella
The difference is that a metrosexual like Langdon would have been brushed off like a fly by Buckley. Not like Monday. That was comical
When a bloke has you in a full nelson for 120 minutes its hard to have an impact. The umps cottoned on in the second half luckily. Expect more scrutiny if another flog tries to treat Nick like an over possessive partnerThe difference is that a metrosexual like Langdon would have been brushed off like a fly by Buckley.
It reminded me of Gayfer. When a bloke has you in a full nelson for 120 minutes its hard to have an impact. The umps cottoned on in the second half luckily. Expect more scrutiny if another flog tries to treat Nick like an over possessive partner
The human blanket. It reminded me of Gayfer.
Gayfer never did what Langdon did. He was one of the first players to have constant touch and leaned on his opponent but he never turned his back on play and molested the other player. It reminded me of Gayfer.
Yeah I can't figure out why he'd remind me of Gayfer. Maybe it was cos the both wore footy boots.Gayfer never did what Langdon did. He was one of the first players to have constant touch and leaned on his opponent but he never turned his back on play and molested the other player.
Also, Gayfer was a backman and not a midfield tagger.
He was a bit holdyGayfer was definitely not the fairest player.
We all loved him though.
Josh is having career best numbers at half back. Why would you change that?I'd like to see Nick get some HB rotations and us put Houston or Josh in the mid occasionally. Josh proved he could play that Inside mid role a few times under Bucks and Houston played as a Mid for about a month in 2020 or 2021 for Port.
I think it's important to try get Nick involved in the game still as we need the ball in his hands.
I'm not talking about a permanent move I'm suggesting occasional rotations through out the game to add Houston or Josh's ball use through the midfield while getting Nick into the game.Josh is having career best numbers at half back. Why would you change that?
Nick needs to work through the tag. It’s part of his development.I'm not talking about a permanent move I'm suggesting occasional rotations through out the game to add Houston or Josh's ball use through the midfield while getting Nick into the game.
Similar to when Nick first started getting tagged, we would move him to HB and HF throughout games, I'm not a fan of us just letting him cop the tag the entire duration of the game in the midfield.
He’s not going to do that singlehandedly, especially with the tactics that are being allowed. Moving him across the ground is part of working through itNick needs to work through the tag. It’s part of his development.
WhatWe’ve won 13 lost 2. Nick says he has been tagged in 12. He still gets 20 possessions and an occasional goal. Fly compliments the taggers and says we will do better. Are we running a con. I think we are happy with the tag.
I think we are doing well with the tag. We are winning. Focus is on Nick. I think we are bluffing and making sides have a run with player tagging Nick. That player is not having an influence for his side. Of course Pendles and Sidey are happy to have some space.
Keep tagging. We keep winning. Alternative - don’t tag and we win by more haha
To answer the "what" in what you're saying. What
Che cosa?To answer the "what" in what you're saying.
Tag Nick and other players run amuck.
Nick will still pick up 20+ Disposals.
His opponent will only get a few.
Tagging is old school coaching. A la Lyon and friends.
Work it out.Che cosa?
