Thank Gary Ablett senior that is now happening at the right time but it didn't happen throughout the home and away seaon. Having that gun throughout the year may make a difference to the longevity of ndacoi as well as his impact each match.

I agree with this and would go even further — if necessary, appointing a short-term captain such as Maynard to bridge the gap. Nick doesn't need the extra burdens of captaincy in the short or even medium term.
Side issue, but it would be a fitting reward for Maynard too.

Gaz jnr was about 27 when he became the captain. Would look at something similar with nick.
