Nobody apart from fans think there is an issue. You don't reject the team your dad played for where you have deep connections with to go in the open draft. What if he supported north? or the lions or eagles? lol

Unfortunately, when you're in the AFL system it becomes more than who you supported 10-15+ years ago. Sure, it would be nice, but rarely works out that way.
