He already is mate.

Wait until the grounds slow up.

Yes he is, but I meant he will be a top 5 or 6 type in our 22 in a few years.

They put a lot of time on him and Caleb Daniel wore him like a glove was almost reminiscent of a old school tagging job often grabbed without ball not given an inch and shadowed.

I dont think he needs a slow deck nothing wrong with his pace, he just had a learning experience and needs to work through it like most youngsters.

Oh, right you are lol.

I seriously hope we don't put much pressure on Nick, no chance of that happening though.

Haha boat sailed there looks like the type to feed off it though, some people are born for it.

I think most people only really hope to see glimpses of what they are capable of in the formative years and not until year 3, 4 or 5 do they expect that consistency to show through.

He doesn't need a soft track but a soft track helps, his dad loved a bit of give in the ground, never slipped over.

Daniel got a heap of the ball though. If Daniel was wearing him that closely, what the hell was Daicos doing defensively.

What number did he wear? Was it 21?
I dropped by for 2nd half...didn’t realise he was playing.
But number 21 did catch my attention. Thought it was Ruscoe, then realised it wasn’t. Moved well.

Feel bad for him in a way. The club sold the farm for him in regards to the potentially very high pick we will likely have at the end of this season. He needs to be unbelievable to not make it another fail from our list management team. I’m hopeful but don’t like that he has that added pressure.

Weight of the world on his shoulders it's very scary to think what pressure he will be under.

The best kid we have and isn't even drafted yet that's concerning.

Trading out our first rounder if we finish bottom 4 could end up being the biggest fail of the last trade period

We'd still match a bid for him that high.

We may not had too thats the point. May of been in front of any top 3 or 4 bid.

So you get 2 picks in top 5 instead of one and some late 20s in the biggest lotto draft seen in well ever with no footy played.
They gambled both in terms of our 21 finish position to be high enough to not matter, and that there mid to late 20s picks will be quality.

Time will tell if they shit the bed like the did with the cap and player trades last year.

OMG what are you not understanding? Top 5 pick we still couldn't trade? Potentially he doesn't get a bid before that pick which could happen.

Surely you understand that a top 5/6 pick would be worth more in a trade over a pick 14?

Anyway long way to go, will be a good thread to bump in 6 months.

Not his fault they chose to sell it off for basically two picks in the mid to late 20s in an unknown draft.

Pressure is on the recruitment team to of made the right call. More pressure on the 2 we took at those picks to come on then Nick imo.

Hopefully new president cleans this joint out.

First job to go is the catering manager for not keeping the cafe open during the VFL practice match...had to watch without a cappuccino.
What is happening in Aus.
Lynchy, could you buy a beer?
Collingwood supporters complaining about the lack cappuccinos!
Have I entered the Twilight Zone?
WTF is going on.
No wonder we have become a shambles.

I was saving myself for the MCG...a few beers (I was driving, couldn’t start too early).
So we’re not in the Twilight Zone quite yet.

It wont happen. He will get bid that high.

Last night the Dogs kicked the first three goals and won by three goals. To assume that puts us bottom four is just guessing

Can’t make diamonds without pressure, I think he’ll be fine.

And that is a very very high bar given the other stinkers we made... Technically it was the draft period not the trade period that we traded this pick out, but same same.

It's a shame - it really takes all the excitement out of losing now because we've already sold what will be the low pick.
