I was talking to an afl draft central guy about that today, he even said it would be better for his development playing VFL.

But the kids these days want to do this whole nab league thing. Maybe they feel they would be missing out on something if they don't.

They have a lot of mates they want to play with and against, that’s usually why kids will usually prefer not to play up.

I think there would be a great deal of benefit from learning to deal with bigger bodied, more experienced players now rather than having to let him learn that next year.

The worst outcome from this scenario would be if our first rounder (now with GWS) came before a Daicos bid. As of right now, that seems unlikely, as Daicos looks like a clear top 3, and we would probably still expect to finish higher than bottom 3, but that is one to watch.

Yea there is a month break to give kids the ability to play their school footy. Those that have finished school will play Vfl or local league .
