I think based on Daicos' goal kicking that he should be a late 4th round draft pick at best!

Seriously though, we have a special talent waiting in the wings here. I cannot wait to see him in number 35 in 2022 strutting his stuff on the MCG.

Let's hope he's allowed to keep it.

i know Lamelo Ball played down in Aus in his draft year to play against bigger bodies, before getting into the NBA. Shows the difference in basketball and AFL however.

Agree that copping tackles and hits from larger blokes as a 18 year old would be risky.

Build his confidence up skyhigh, let him keep killing it in the NAB. He knows he can mix it with the best with the guys he has played alongside and against at even a younger age. Like Rowell and Anderson.

Nick isn’t 17 though. If he was 3 days older he’d be playing senior AFL footy right now, so it’s baffling that anyone in their right mind could think he wouldn’t be ready for the VFL.

On saturday he will be playing in a game thats the AFL Academy v Geelong VFL. But I imagine after that he will play the remaining with our VFL team before Nab League goes back.

In the 2021 season, Daicos is averaging 34 disposals, 6.7 marks, 5.3 inside 50s, 2.7 rebound 50s, 4.0 tackles and 2.7 goals per game.

Those numbers are ****ing bonkers by any standard, let alone in junior footy.

Seems to be working out for Walsh. I’m not sure there’s much point in being superstitious about which number he’s selected at.

Wouldn't have been so bad - If Daics goes top 2, it would have probably kept us with a 2nd and 3rd for 2021, plus the equivalent of a couple of seconds that we will currently need to trade in to match Daicos without going into deficit.
