Nick Stevens' suspension

Stevens' was suspended for two matches in his final game last year, I thought he would be serving them in the Wizard Cup but now I see he has been named in the squad, so he will be missing the first two premiership rounds.......can someone please tell me why this is the case? Why isn't he aloud to serve them in the Wizard Cup?

That's entirely at the AFL tribunal's discresion.

They could have said he could be suspended for two wiz matches, but where's the punishment in that?
