EIGHT MORE FORMER PLAYERS JOIN CONCUSSION CLASS ACTION AGAINST AFL

Eight more players have reportedly joined the concussion class action against the AFL as lead plaintiffs, in a move that adds a further 10 clubs as defendants to the multimillion-dollar proceeding.

The Age’s Jon Pierik revealed on Wednesday morning that the legal case, led by Geelong premiership player Max Rooke, will see three players from this century join over 100 counterparts in coming forward.

The class action alleges that players have suffered permanent, life altering injuries as a result of concussions that have come from the negligence of the AFL and the clubs.

Nick Stevens (Port Adelaide/Carlton, 1998-2009) being one of them.

At least Aunty is calling Nick Stevens a former Carlton and Port Adelaide player and they also mention that he was Vice Captain at the Blues and that he also coached Glenelg. In tomorrow's Murdoch rag he will be a former Port Adelaide player pure and simple.
