Can anyone tell me if I should be trying to learn whatever the heal Ki Pulse is? Just don't understand it at all and haven't bothered so far...

Also should elixirs be hoarded or are they prevalent enough not to stress downing them if needed?

i think i'm about halfway through... you will get better at ki pulse. i really sucked at it for a long while but once the rest of the combat falls into place it will become easier. makes taking down yoki in small rooms/hallways a lot easier if you can disperse the realm & keep your ki up. basically when you finish a combo you hit r1 with the right timing and it does a ki pulse - just needs a bit of practise.

i'm by no means good so i'm alway low on elixirs... just put your kodama blessing on the extra elixir one & you should be right

Been playing this recently. I've reached the Umi bozu boss fight. I primarily use the kusamigama with a focus on onmyo magic and as I'm not very good, I tend to spam the hell out of my living weapon by stocking up on soul stones during boss fights.

Hated the level with passion but loved that boss fight.

Yeah drowned repeatedly already.

I can’t put my finger on it. It was probably one of the best levels for exploration and opening paths, but some of the enemy placements seemed more obnoxious than just troll after a while, the platforming was so unforgiving (my own fault though for not fighting in the right spots or just being deep) and I never felt comfortable playing it. Probably a great effort by the level designers but I didn’t like the feeling that I was damp and on edge in real life.

Finally beat the bastard. Felt so good. The Hyottoko Masks are absolutely devastating against him so I stocked up on those and went to town against him.

i liked the level & the fight, but man i nearly lost it when i would get clipped & fall off the edge. it was such bs i knew what i was doing and how to kill it & just kept ending up in the water lol

Do not use the sloth talisman unless you're a bitch ;)

Cal once you learn the weapon combos and stance changes you get pretty good and can trivialise most of the game. It's one of the rare games that make you feel like a god if you take time to master it.

How did we go against Hino-enma? A lot of people struggle big time against her, especially as she's quite an early boss.

She was brutal. I found it much easier when I changed up to lighter gear and used a spear though. The hardest part was learning and timing the dodge through her swoop attack and not to the side. Initially I just copied my Souls playstyle of heavy armour and slow weapons but there was no way it was going to work on her. Managed to go back to my usual style with a big axe after for the rest of the game however.

The last boss I faced in the spider castle was quite simple... took me a few attempts. And I'm shit at this game :D

Up to Yuki Onna on the snow level. I'm kind of intimidated as I watched the youtuber Suzy Lu struggle big time against her. Thought she was even worse than Hino-enma. I'm really overlevelled though.
