i just watched it for the first time in ages on mtv, it has to go down as one of the most brilliant live performances ever recorded

the version of bowies 'man who sold the world'is just fantastic and so much so that when bowie performed it kids came up to him and told him it was cool that he was covering a nirvana song,which really pissed him off

in short this performance is just musical brilliance

I'm not really into unplugged music, but Nirvana's release was pretty good. About a Girl, Pennyroyal Tea and On a Plain are the best of the originals and Man Who Sold the World and Lake of Fire are the best covers. Where Did You Sleep Last Night is good but the two mentioned are songs I can listen to more than a few times, especially Lake of Fire.

I find it ridiculous that Kurt always criticised Pearl Jam for being too commercial yet Nirvana did MTV Unplugged.
