The 90's had a lot of shit pop music, but to me, No Doubt are a ****ing awesome band. I personally was a bit disappointed with the way they went with Rock Steady, but Tragic Kingdom is one of my favourite 90's albums. Fantastic energetic, live sounding record, with ska influences and great pop songs.

Will be interesting to see what they come up with for the new album in 2010.

I made a topic about this a while ago, While i am a "Metalhead" I absolutly love No Doubt, Tragic Kingdom was a ripping song

Its my life was also one of the better cover songs ive heard. Im glad they did a cover insted of some of the shit they were churning out by the end.

No Doubt is one of my all time favourite bands. You just need to look up some live performances to see the energy, and Gwen Stefani has an unreal presence.

My favourite album of theirs is the Beacon Street Collection, the album they released in the same year as Tragic Kingdom, but before TK itself was released. It's a great Ska/Rock album. One of the tracks, Total Hate '95 features Bradley Nowell from Sublime (who the band was friends with).

I Also just bought Return of Saturn recently, which also has some great tracks.

Whilst Hella Good is a pretty mad dance track, I think they got caught up a bit too much with the current mainstream music of that time with Rocksteady (2002, yuck!)

(Bit of swearing at the start)

From their debut self titled album, this is a seriously unreal performence, its a ska song, which even goes a bit metal.

Anyway I saw a thing on youtube where Adrian Young (the drummer) was talking about how they might be reverting back to some of that ska sound they used to have (or something like that). I can't wait for the new album.
