Great news for Melbournians to hear the QEO ground in Bendigo is not up to standard for next week and Melbourne are now likely to play Collingwood at Victoria Park Friday at 4pm. But check afl.com.au tomorrow for information.

It's the second time in as many years that Melbourne have had a Wizard Regional Challenge game moved after a heatwave forced a game away from Perth last March.

Sandringham are scheduled to play Coburg in a practice match at Trevor Barker Oval next Saturday. Sandringham were run away winners over Bendigo today at TBO, while Coburg beat Port Melbourne at La Trobe Uni. Should be a good contest.

Great news, no need for the road trip then mate!

I'll go along to this, anyone else interested?
I live near Collingwood, so I might come along!

BTW I went to Sandy today... Read was terrific. He should be in the senior side when the real stuff begins.

Good news on Read, he was more rusty than poor against his old club. A full game next week to should set him up nicely for round 1.

What was the score & who else played well?

We won by 40 points, 105-65.

Most of the MFC players were good:

Read: BOG.

Jamar: Very good, skills let him down a bit.

Smith: Only played a half, but was excellent.

Armstrong: Got a bit of the ball, but wasn't as dominant as you'd expect him to be.

Carroll: Solid.

Lamb: Solid.

Broadbridge: Surprisingly good. Very evasive and quick.

Campbell: Struggled, but kicked a nice goal.
