No dout it was a horrible injury,I think the problem was he shouldn't have played last year with that rod in his leg, instead he should have taken the year off.

yeah guys i think he's leg is stuffed, my mail tells me that he was advised not to reinjure his leg or risk not walking again, given the circumstances a couple more weeks to get right is not out of the question
i still till feel sick when i think of his leg, i think you guys need to worry if he's okay first then playing later

Go away Purple boy you should know by now we eat our own.

Tried to rush him back last year. Stupid.

I thought once the rod came out he would be right. Rest him and do everything possible to get him right for next season.

Should have rested the leg the whole year.

Don't think he'll play again, we should just move on and get over it, as hard as that is.

b4 we do,just remember what it was like when we had him working with Richo, when he was kicking 4 on his own and generally all round adding some elite talent to the joint.

Thanks for the memories pal.

How fkuced is it that we finally get someone like him and he has a freak accident.

JFC!

This thread is an embarrasment everyone of you saying we should get rid of him blah blah blah he has no heart ect are a disgrace your an embarrasment to the Richmond football club and frankly I';m embarrased you support the same club as me

Exactly oxx, I'm as shattered as anyone, I love Browny, the 5 in the last 1/4 against the Pies will live on in Tigs history. I just think things have progressed to the stage where I honestly don't think he will play again for us. And as I said, we should just grit our teeth, bare it, and then push on with others, and if on the very very odd chance he does play again, it's an out and out bonus.

The only ppl who should be embarrassed is the RFC for lying to their payed up supporters about his injury.

i just dont think about it, too depressing.

Richo had kicked 28.3 in 95, had no hang ups about his kicking, then does a knee and has the yips for the rest of his career.(not to mention the annual injuries he'd get, hamstrings, broken hands, cheeks)

Coughlin legitimately looked like the first player in yellow and black in decades who could win a brownlow and since a breakout season where he was one of the competions elite young midfielders, he goes through serious OP, pubic instability and 2 knee recos.

Next brown,

who the f.uck! is next? Its not as if we've had a plethora of talented players at this club...

the RFC is cursed

The problem is these type of players are our backbone and we never had ready made replacements for them.Hopefully the young ones will start rewarding us soon with their senior call up.

The point is, those 3 are probably the only 3 players on our list imo (bar the recent draft hopefuls) that have had the talent to be truly elite players of the competition or in Brownys case, already were. For them all to be struck down with career defining injuries is just plain f.ucked up. :thumbsd:

Injuries are a part of football i'm afraid and there is not much we can do about it.Btw didn't we lose richo for nearly the whole 2000 season with a foot injury?.

There is no conspiracy going on with Browny - what is in it for the club to deceive its members?

My theory is they lied because they didn't want to lose membership sales.
