With Hipwood now unlikely for the rest of the finals and Neale probably done as well, it ain't looking good for them.
Didn’t watch all the game, what happened with Neale?

Looks like he pinged a calf in the last quarterDidn’t watch all the game, what happened with Neale?
Well yeah. Brisbane followed by winner of Freo or Gold Coast if we lost.Should we have tanked against North Melbourne to face Brisbane then?

Yep, but im not sure we'd have had as much trouble everywhere else.Brisbane's midfield would've beaten us on Thursday night.

But if we’re going to win, we need to beat the best teams. We failed the first test, three more to go.
Haven’t we shown we could change (against hawthorn and Collingwood)Winning 3 in a row against the best few teams and coaching groups was always going to be beyond us. Religious adherence to your system will get you into finals. To win 3 in a row you need to be able adjust and counteract to gain an advantage over your opponent. Continuing with the same system becomes a negative and plays straight into oppo hands.
I hope GWS win. Because they have 5 fans, I might be some hope of getting a ticket.

Seems like we just shafted ourself with selections then shat the bed.
I reckon you'll get a ticket even with Hawthorn winning although I agree it will be harder than GWS. There will be some fans that won't go this time, plus it's doubled the price of the last final I believe. Unless that's the pre lim that's double.I hope GWS win. Because they have 5 fans, I might be some hope of getting a ticket.
You talking about the final?Reverting to negative game style when there’s pressure isn’t adjusting to beat your opponent, it’s Nicks’ cowardice overwhelming him.

Didn’t we start negatively in the other games?
I’m saying isn’t that what we did against hawthorn and Collingwood in the minor round after the first qtr?Now I’m confused, not sure what we’re discussing. I’m saying you need to plan and adjust for opponents and reverting to negative style out of fear isn’t doing that.
losing has eliminated the faint hope of getting a retail GF ticket to a crows GF. Looks like the GF vibe I’ll be in Melbourne for will be for a Pies/Cats game. Effing fantastic, won’t be a crows scarf in sight.

It feels like though in those two games we just weren’t ready for what the oppo threw at us and we were able to change it up and wrestle back the lead.Going negative is reactive to non in-game pressure, it’s not a strategy designed based on our opponents. They’re not the same thing. What we do is crap our dacks because we’re shit scared of failure and the change benefits our opposition. That’s the opposite of what I’m saying is required.
You love a good stretch dont you.Reverting to negative game style when there’s pressure isn’t adjusting to beat your opponent, it’s Nicks’ cowardice overwhelming him.

Do you do yoga by any chance ??
Yeah, I can't buy in to that, sorry. It sounds a little too conspiratorial. Even if the Tippett thing was unfair to us, we didn't lose all of those players throughout the noughties because of a larger salary cap gifted to other clubs. The systematic problem is the AFL which skirts around salary cap irregularities with other clubs, but holds others to the letter of the law, and even interprets them differently.
Tippets Balfour's contract should have never raised an eyebrow, given all the other 3rd party contracts that the league haven't Cottoned On to.
In a league with double standards and behind-closed-door penalties it is going to be hard to attract and retain genuine superstars.
We tried moving the ball super quick on Thursday night, not sure how thats negative.Nicks reverts to negative game style when there’s pressure on.
