From Chris Scott

"If you think that our 23 we pick in any given week is a referendum on who we think our best 23 players are, you're not reading the way we think about things."

Has Chris Scott not heard of selection integrity?

He is easily the best current coach who manages his squad, keeping players fresh. Will even manage Dangerfield, Cameron & Stewart if needed. It's a long season & need depth to be successful.

Well obviously. Referendums are for one yes/no decision so that's not at all how a referendum works.

Hawks 2 debutants, Mitchell is clueless.
Should have played injured or underdone players instead for their experience in a big game...

It’s such a boneheaded philosophy.

You’re never going to have the best 23 available week in week out.

So then what happens when you need to play some depth?
... in a final & they have hardly played all year.

Opening Round has created an inequitable start to the AFL season.

Jack Gunston is tearing Geelong a new one

He's probably the best player we've ever let leave the club based on the amount of high quality games we missed out on

Idiots. They'll have none of the sustained success that picking the same 23 every week has brought our club.

Nah. Danger was the best player in the league for a year or two, and won a Brownlow.
