A slur is a slur, is it not? Why is a racial slur not even directed to an actual player just overheard and reported a 6 week ban but a homophobic slur in an AFL game directed at another player being discussed as a fine??

Both actions are viewed terribly by most of society these days.

Both deserve heavy bans to send a message this isn't acceptable anymore

Finlayson won't get 6 but they set a precedent with Clarkson who got two weeks and a $20,000 fine. I suspect he will get a fine and no suspension though.

The $10 tickets for game 2 helped with that. I reckon there were a lot of neutrals at the game last night.

The 10 minute Mexican wave (that didn’t stop despite a Bulldogs goal in that time) was probably a sign of that.

It was good sitting back watching two games you don't care about the result.


Carlton supporters singing their song after the game was pretty good.
