McGrath the new Essendon captain. Seems the obvious choice due to lack of suitable candidates.
Pretty sure at one stage his family was living in Adelaide while he was with us. Makes sense really. He’ll find him self at an Adelaide teamInteresting with Vozzo - he seemed to be a long term option for the Bombers but I doubt such a thing exists at that club as they continue their 20+ years in the wilderness.
I had always assumed his family was Perth-based given his tenure at the club, so it's a little surprising to see he's returning to Adelaide. Perhaps that is his wider family (aging parents etc).
I always had time for our former 'Nissy-in-Waiting' - hope he lands on his feet and stays in the game (if he wants to obviously).

Not the same... Tassie is a footy state.Gold Coast and GWS say hi.
Seriously, do you think the Hawks are on their own with this level of detail?I love that level of detail and what makes SMitchell a good coach. I think there's not enough of it and it's the kind of detail that all teams should be working on.
Agree completely. Killed that role in the WAFL as a 17 year old which is why they recruited him.Freeing up Naughton to play as an intercepting third man, a position I can't believe the Bulldogs refuse to try him in.

Yes, yes I do. And that is the only thing that can be drawn from my post.Seriously, do you think the Hawks are on their own with this level of detail?

Starcevich selected for 2026 AFL Origin
Brandon Starcevich has been named in the WA team for the 2026 AAMI Origin matchwww.westcoasteagles.com.au
There was never any doubt.WA is going to get pantsed
The expats in SEQ would outnumber the Tas populationNot the same... Tassie is a footy state.
smart of Vozzo to bail before he got made the scapegoat after the club inevitably sacks Scott and runs out of options
another year of essendon mediocrity incoming
Surprised he wasn't first announced. The AFL would be falling over themselves to see Harley in the big V (with Big Jez the larrikin and All Australian Captain, mind you Richo!!)Fingers crossed no Ried for the Vics.
He run's out wearing the big V, only to rip it off Hulk Hogan style to reveal a black duck. "WA for life baby" he screams down the camera. WCE release at same time that he's signed on for 10 more years.Fingers crossed no Ried for the Vics.

Vic media melt down.
