Michael Voss is arguably Carlton's most successful (definitely second most successful) coach this century. Let that one sink in.

I mean David Parkin did take them to a GF in 2000 so I'm probably going with that if I'm them, but Vossy has had his moments I guess.

Edit: Sorry, prelim in 2000, GF 99

Truly sad reading.

Only if you are are a Carlton supporter, for everyone else it's great

Is funny though after the big debate between Blues and Bombers fans about which club would get to 17 flags first, it's now looking like Collingwood will beat them both to it

Simpsons dad has a bit to answer for by talking him out of resigning over the journey… wonder when he first held those thoughts
Simmo did say his som contacted him today to say happy anniversary for a year ago today being sacked

He said he went through it for 3 or 4 years so probably since then I'm guessing

Couple of digs at the West but made the point of saying WC supporters aren't like Carlton supporters

Even though i wanted him gone earlier i did say all along it hard not to like the guy

What a rabble. (And I say this with zero irony with our 7 wins in our last 100 games)

Who would want anything to do with Carlton?

As you say, complete rabble with too many external noises having far too great an influence over the way the club is operated.

They need to get past the hubris of being one of the "GREAT" clubs, which hasn't been true since the turn of the century. They won essentially all of their premierships in an era when it was an amateur state league.

Carlton last won a flag in 1995 which was Freo’s first year in the comp

Only St Kilda (1966) have had to wait longer since their last premiership

Adelaide (1998), North (1999) and Essendon (2000) have the next longest droughts

On that note I think they should just give a very liberal interpretation of the 15 m mark rule. There's too much uncertainty. It's better if you have a few say 13-14m kicks getting paid than sometimes 10m kicks getting paid, sometimes 20m kicks being called not 15 cos umpires can't judge distance. Or just add a sensor on the ball with gps tracking with a direct feed to the umps. At this stage just get AI to umpire lol.

Some serious slow-motion car crash attraction to watching the game tonight to see Carlton fall to pieces and Voss get sacked.
Wonder if they bring the tarps out and block the view at half time while the board carry a shotgun in, like at the races when a horse goes down.

While in reality Essendon has two and Carlton one, same as Port (and a bunch of state league flags each).

The successful AFL clubs are Hawthorn, West Coast, Geelong, Brisbane, Richmond and to annoy the Blues/Bombers fans, Collingwood.
