I think they said it was Carey beat him 2x and Jakovich won the remainder 12 or 14 of their contests.
When Jakovich stood Carey, Carey looked very average.
that is why I rate Ablett snr as the best player I have seen, noone had it over him.

Archer is the one I'm more than happy to compare Rance to. Both genuine Lionhearts.

But having said that this is one of the great shit calls by Bruce. 1996 is basically my entire football watching life, and he's not even entering the conversation, has to play at this level for the next 10 years.

SOS, Fletcher, Grant, Leppa, Scarlett, Ben Hart, Jakovich, Archer. These are all time greats, not comic relief that's had 3 or 4 good years.

This, though there was one, maybe 1.5 seasons where Chad Cornes absolutely owned the position. Jakovich has it for longevity in the position though.

Jakovich v Carey. I couldn't give a **** who won, I watched the game for that battle alone.

I remember when the Crows had Hart and Smart running around in their backline, bloody great players and Blight put Caven on Carey in the GF if I recall correctly and Caven towelled Carey up.
