Think the case in both losses for us haven't exactly been a case of the other team playing exceptional football (no disrespect to them), they just played a team that brought far too little intensity and effort. We looked very easy to play against last week due to a lack of pride in the defensive part of the game. North are playing with an urgency that we did not have last week. Still think Dockers win today mind you.

Haven't seen him on the coverage but hopefully Fages has stayed in Melbourne and is at this game also. (a) Because we play North in 2 weeks and also (b) we've seen Exhibit A in how to completely change your ball movement in the space of a quarter. Freo looked like us in the first half, long and slow and boring down the line. Now they're spreading the North defence from one side of the field to the other, and guess what, gaps are opening up in behind. Exactly what I was referring to last night.

Our end of first round PP went to Port in a trade, and we got their future first round pick, which we traded to Adelaide for Charlie Cameron. Port drafted Powell-Pepper with our PP.

Someone in another thread, actually thought going from side to side was a good tactical move, slowly working it up the field.

Stats aren't everything in isolation, but they can tell a story.
